A tragic incident occurred in Belagavi on May 3, 2026, where two minor boys lost their lives after drowning while swimming in a pond near the Kapileshwar Temple.

According to reports, the boys had gone to the temple area and entered the water for swimming. During the activity, both of them accidentally drowned. The incident took place in the Shivaji Nagar locality, creating shock and grief among residents.

Local authorities, including the Khade Bazaar police, were informed immediately. Rescue efforts were carried out, but unfortunately, both children could not be saved.
