12 अगस्त, 2019 को लाहौल और स्पीति से मणिमहेश आ रहे 22 तीर्थयात्रियों का एक समूह अचानक ग्लेशियर फटने और भारी बारिश के कारण कुगती में उफनते डुग्गी नाले में फंस गया। सौभाग्य से, हिमालयन ट्रैवल एजेंसी (मणिमहेश एडवेंचर्स ) का एक समूह भी दूसरी तरफ डुग्गी नाले में मौजूद था। फंसे हुए तीर्थयात्रियों को मदद के लिए चिल्लाते देख, मणिमहेश एडवेंचर्स के समूह ने अपनी जान जोखिम में डालकर और अपने पर्वतारोहण कौशल का उपयोग करके सभी 22 तीर्थयात्रियों को सुरक्षित बचा लिया।
