Just 500 metres from our camp at Bhikiyasain, our staff spotted this majestic leopard moving through the forest.

We don’t light up the night. We keep noise to a minimum. We tread lightly. Not because we have to but because this is their home. We’re just guests.

Every time we see a leopard, a barking deer, a troop of langurs, or hear the call of a bird we can’t name, we’re reminded why we do what we do. Not to build a resort in the wild. But to create a space where the wild can exist alongside us - on its own terms.

This is why we keep our camps small. Why we keep the lights low. Why we ask our guests to listen more than they speak.

Because when you respect the wild, the wild shows up.

Come experience the wild as it should be.

This is what a Kumaoni feast looks like by the Ramganga. 🍛
Our guests drove in for lunch. We pulled out all the stops.

On the menu:

· Gahat ki daal – earthy, hearty, the soul of Kumaoni food
· Pahadi style chicken – slow-cooked with mountain spices
· Bhaang ki chutney – bold, fiery, unforgettable
· Pahadi raita – cooling, creamy, the perfect balance Mixed vegetables Kadhai Paneer
· Fresh rotis straight off the tawa and zebra rice
· And a view that refuses to be rushed

There’s something about eating by the river. The food tastes better. The conversation flows longer. The world slows down just enough for you to notice.

And here’s the best part! Our guests loved it so much they left us a glowing review on Google. That’s the kind of feedback that reminds us why we do what we do. To give every guest an experience worth talking about.

Want this for yourself? We need a day’s notice. Just let us know you’re coming, and we’ll prep a meal that’ll have you writing your own review.

Come for the river. Stay for the food. Leave with both in your heart.

The day after the rain.

Heavy showers washed the hills clean the night before. By afternoon, the sun was out, the river was singing, and our little camp was sparkling like we’d just planted it there.

And then, a day later, we left. Heavy hearts. As always.

Because our stays here are never just stays. They’re work. Passion. Exhaustion. Love. Every trip, we pour ourselves into fixing, improving, planning - all in the pursuit of making this place better for those who come after us.

But sometimes, we pause. And we look back.

To where we started. An abandoned patch of land by the river, so overrun with jungle that even the local villagers stayed away. Thorns. Darkness. Silence of a different kind.

Today, that same land holds four cozy tents. A kitchen that serves meals made with love. A dining area where strangers become friends. Paths that lead to the river. And a view that makes people forget their phones exist.

We are proud of how far we’ve come. Not because it’s easy. Because it was never supposed to be.

And we’re not done yet.

Riverside Cafe is next. Watch this space.

Small changes. Big difference.

We’re always looking for ways to make your stay smoother especially for those of you joining us on longer expeditions or multi-week getaways.

So here’s a little update: we’ve installed washing machines at both our camps. Available for use at a nominal cost – just enough to cover water, electricity, and detergent.

Now you can pack lighter, stay longer, and head home with clean clothes and even cleaner memories.

No more rationing socks. No more carrying a month’s worth of gear. Just the freedom to explore, fish, trek, or do nothing at all without worrying about laundry piling up.

And that’s not all. By next season, we’re planning to upgrade from regular coolers to air conditioners across both camps. Because after a long day on the river, you deserve to walk into a tent that’s perfectly cool and comfortable.

One upgrade at a time. Always improving.

Come stay a little longer. We’ve got the laundry covered. And the cool air coming next season.

Deep in the Kali gorge. Mobile camp behind them. A golden prize in hand!

Our guests from Singapore are well into their Mahakali River rafting expedition. Days on the water, nights in remote camps, and now this. A beautiful Golden Mahseer, pulled from currents that don’t give up their treasures easily.

This isn’t a lodge trip. No creature comforts nearby. Just rafts, rods, and the grit to push deeper than roads go. The kind of fishing that tests you. The kind that rewards you when you’ve earned it.

This is what the rafting expedition is all about. Remote water. Mobile camps. Fish worth the fight.

Your adventure starts with a DM.

The river doesn’t care about your plans. It only rewards those who show up!

Our recent guests, at Pancheshwar, fishing on the Saryu and Mahakali learned this fast. They cast into currents that have seen centuries of anglers come and go. Some landed gold. Some left with tales of the ones that got away. Either way, they returned to camp with tired arms, hungry stomachs, and that quiet satisfaction of a day spent chasing something real.

Then came the evenings. Scrumptious meals served hot. Fellow anglers comparing battles. Laughter echoing off the gorge walls. Because a fishing trip isn’t just about the catch. It’s the views that leave you breathless, the camaraderie that forms over shared failure and success, and the quiet knowing that you lived fully, if only for a few days.

And for those who don’t fish? Bring a partner. Hand them a book and a cup of chai by the river. They’ll thank you later.

Your move.
