Destination : Gangtok (02N) – Lachung (01N) - Gangtok (01N) – Darjeeling (01N)
DAY WISE ITINERARY .
Day 01 Arrival NJP / IXB – Gangtok
Gangtok (5412 Ft / 1650Mts, 130 Kms / 04 to 05 Hrs Drive)
On arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) (413 Ft / 126 Mts), you will be met by our local representative, who will assist you to board the vehicle to Gangtok. On reaching Gangtok, check in and overnight at hotel.
Day 02 Gangtok – Excursion to Tshangu Lake & Local sightseeing
Tshangu Lake (12400Ft / 3780 Mts / 43 Kms / 02 Hrs Drive one way) & New Baba Mandir (13100 Ft / 3994 Mts / 18 Kms / 01 Hrs further drive from Tshangu Lake)
Today after breakfast, start for full day excursion to Tshangu Lake along with visit to Hanuman Tok, Ganesh. Return back to Gangtok. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 Gangtok – Lachung
Lachung (8000 Ft / 2439 Mts, 125 Kms / 05 to 06 Hrs drive)
After breakfast, checkout and then drive to Lachung. On the way visit Dachi View Point, Stupa Dore Krabi Longsok along with Tashi view point, Seven sister’s water fall (Subjected to operation of the normal route). On arrival at Lachung, check into the hotel. It is advisable to go for an evening walk (on your own) around the village for body acclimatization. Overnight at hotel.
Break for lunch en-route on direct payment basis.
Day 04 Lachung – Excursion to Yumthang – Gangtok
Yumthang Valley (11800 Ft / 3598 Mts / 25 Kms / 1 ½ hour’s drive one way)
Gangtok (5412 Ft / 1650 Mts, 130 Kms / 06 to 07 Hrs drive)
After early breakfast proceed for on a half day excursion to Yumthang Valley. Later then transfer to Gangtok. On reaching Gangtok, check in and Overnight at hotel.
Break for lunch en-route on direct payment basis.
Day 05 Gangtok – Darjeeling
Pelling (5500 Ft / 1675 Mts, 116Kms / 05 to 06 Hrs drive)
After breakfast check out and then transfer to Darjeeling. On arrival checkin to the hotel in Darjeeling.
Later for local sightseeing of Darjeeling covering Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday, Local Festival and State & National Govt. holidays), Tenzing & Gombu Rock and Panoramic tour of Tea Estate. Back to Hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06 Darjeeling - NJP / IXB
Darjeeling (6710 Ft / 2046 Mts)
New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) (413 Ft / 126 Mts, 100 Kms / 03 to 04 Hrs drive)
*Early morning at around 0400am (subject to clear weather) for visit to Tiger Hills (8482 Ft / 2586 Mts) to view the sunrise over mighty Kanchendzonga Peak (Third highest peak in the world). Back to hotel for breakfast - After breakfast transfer to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB), for onwards connection
