No false advertising here- Birds & Breakfast gives you birds and breakfast at the birding site for one of your most enjoyable mornings in Goa and beyond. If our fine feathered friends are your hobby or passion like mine, or even if you are a novice, you will be impressed to see species that you had eluded until now, it will be an exciting birding blur of Golden Orioles, Barbets, Purple Swamphens,
Kingfishers, Woodpeckers, to the shy Painted Snipe to the social Magpie Robin, to the resplendent Peacock, the omnipresent Cattle Egret to the rarer Indian Pita, the local Black Eagle, to the small Tailorbird, to the immigrant Woolly-Necked Stork and many more. Goa falling in the tropical zone, has several diverse habitats: the Western Ghats, forests, Sanctuary, lakes, open fields, coastal areas- including beaches and mangroves. Each area is special in its own way and has a necessary ecological function. Together, they combine to make Goa a unique birdwatching site. I also arrange boat tours for kingfishers and waders (and crocs- BONUS!)
Birds can be seen the whole year round but the best time for birding is mid October - mid March. We can plan different daily itineraries with accommodation and overnight stays at the Sanctuarys. So grab your binoculars and cameras and head to Goa! The birds are calling! and observe the winged wonders. The trip can last for 4hrs to half a day or a whole day depending on the sites and your requirements.
