What is SDAI ( who we are)
Sports Development Association of India, an all India Representative organization is dedicated towards the promotion of Sports in India. The motive of SDAI is primarily to imbibe sports culture in the Indian society as well as bring about reforms in the field of sports. India has a tradition of sports and physical fitness since the vedic times. In the recent past, India has expeditiously placed itself in the international market as one of the most growing and progressive economies. Yet, the development of sports has been largely undermined and neglected. A plethora of factors contribute to this lacklustre condition including poor infrastructure, corruption, politics, poor training facilities, fewer scholarships for sportspersons and non-serious attitude of society as a whole towards professional sports. This is just scraping the surface as these problems are complicated and require a complete revamping of the system and its members. SDAI is a systematic attempt to create a platform in order to make people aware of the issues plaguing sports. Furthermore, it will also provide multifold assistance at financial, economic, and educational levels.
SDAI is the first ever National Organization working not only for the progression of sports, but also keeping the sportsmens best interest as its primary goal. The organization’s focus is to provide better infrastructures, facilities, coaching, research and competitions, thus ensuring the development of a new breed of well-rounded, world class and sophisticated sportsmen who are more than capable of succeeding in a highly competitive global arena.
