Markha Valley trek 2027

The Markha Valley Trek is one of the most beautiful and rewarding high-altitude treks in Ladakh. The trail takes you through the remote and scenic Markha Valley, surrounded by rugged mountains, vast landscapes, Buddhist monasteries, traditional Ladakhi villages, and clear mountain streams. One of the major highlights is crossing Kongmaru La Pass (around 5,200 m), from where you can enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks, including Kang Yatse. The trek offers a wonderful combination of adventure, wilderness, local culture, and high-altitude mountain experience, making it an excellent choice for trekkers who want to experience the raw beauty of Ladakh beyond the usual tourist routes.

Mount KY2 Summit 2026 🏔️

We feel truly blessed to have had such favourable weather conditions on our summit day. 🙏🏻 On 9th August 2026 at 11:33 AM, our team leader Baljeet Kaur and all our team members successfully summited Mount KY2.
What makes this summit even more special is the incredible age range within our team, from 22 to 61 years old. Different generations, one mountain, one team. ❤️

We learned so much from each other throughout this journey,not just about climbing, but about strength, patience, teamwork, and believing in ourselves.

Mountains truly bring people together. 🏔️❤️

Baljeet Kaur made one promise to the team: she would always walk behind everyone so that no one felt left behind or discouraged. On this particular day, these two incredibly strong girls were having a difficult moment. Instead of rushing ahead, she stayed with them, patiently encouraging, guiding, and reminding them to keep believing in themselves. Sometimes the strongest support isn’t leading from the front, but quietly walking beside those who need it most. Their gratitude says more than words ever could. ❤️🏔️

How to Wear Crampons Properly : Practice Session

1. Choose the correct size and adjust the crampons to fit your boots.
2. Ensure your mountaineering boots are compatible with the crampons.
3. Attach the toe first, then secure the heel.
4. Tighten all straps or locking mechanisms firmly, there should be no movement.
5. Tuck away any loose strap ends so they don’t snag.
6. Double-check the fit before walking.
7. Practice walking on flat ground first using the flat-footing.
8. Keep your feet slightly wider than normal to avoid catching your clothing or the opposite crampon.
9. Before heading onto snow or ice, inspect every strap and buckle once more.

Safety tip: Never practice with crampons on rocks or concrete for long periods, as this quickly dulls the points and increases the risk of slipping. Practice on snow, firm ice, or a controlled training area whenever possible
