π International Tiger Day ππ
Today, we celebrate one of natureβs most iconic and powerful creaturesβthe tiger. These majestic big cats are not just symbols of strength and beauty, but crucial for maintaining the health of the ecosystems they inhabit. πΏ
There are six living subspecies of tigers:
πΉ Bengal Tiger β Found in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan
πΉ Indochinese Tiger β Native to Southeast Asia
πΉ Malayan Tiger β Found in the Malay Peninsula
πΉ Siberian Tiger (Amur Tiger) β The largest, found in Russiaβs Far East
πΉ South China Tiger β Critically endangered, possibly extinct in the wild
πΉ Sumatran Tiger β Smallest subspecies, found only on Sumatra Island
With fewer than 4,000 tigers left in the wild, every step toward conservation counts.
Letβs stand together to protect their forests, end illegal poaching, and ensure their survival for generations to come. π³πΎ
