In 2025, we had the opportunity to design and deliver a deeply immersive academic travel program in Vietnam for an all-women delegation from the prestigious Kellogg School of Management.
The focus of the journey was to understand one of Asia’s most defining transformations — rapid urbanisation and its evolving impact on rural communities, traditional livelihoods, culture, and sustainability.
Carefully developed through extensive research and local collaboration, the program combined field visits, community interaction, academic dialogue, and on-ground observation to give participants a multidimensional understanding of Vietnam’s changing social and economic landscape.
Participants engaged with:
• Rural farming communities adapting to economic transition
• Women-led enterprises and local entrepreneurs
• Urban planners, sustainability advocates, and development experts
• Traditional artisan communities navigating modernization
• Grassroots initiatives focused on preserving identity and ecological balance
The experience encouraged meaningful conversations around inclusive growth, migration, environmental pressure, gender dynamics, and the future of community-led development in emerging economies.
More than a study tour, the program became a platform for reflection on leadership, sustainability, resilience, and the human side of economic progress — seen through the lens of one of Southeast Asia’s fastest transforming nations.
At the intersection of education, culture, and real-world learning, this is the kind of experiential journey we are passionate about creating.
