Founded in the year 2003 by renowned philanthropist Dr. Paul Dhinakaran, SEESHA was originally started as a charity organisation. As the vision began to grow, its reach also widened to address the cause of downtrodden communities across India. Over the years, SEESHA’s approach has altered from charity to welfare and from welfare to holistic community development. Steadily growing into an entity of

professionalism and experience, SEESHA now adopts villages in some of the poorest regions in India, working towards their holistic development. With a four-fold view of development, we focus on areas of Education, Health, Environment and Livelihood among the people we work with. Our target groups include children, youth, women, senior citizens, communities, differently-abled, persons in need of physiological and psychological care and victims of natural disasters.

SEESHA continues its monthly initiative of caring for the elderly by providing dry ration kits and one-time nutritious meals to 31 senior citizens in Tharangambadi. This consistent effort ensures that vulnerable elders receive the nutrition and care they deserve, promoting dignity and well-being in their golden years.

A medical camp was organized in Ayyapakkam, Chennai, on the occasion of 36th wedding anniversary of Seesha’s Founder, Dr. Paul Dinakaran, and Sister Evangeline.

The event focused on providing support to the elderly residents of Ayyapakkam. In collaboration with ACS Hospital in Vellapanchavdi, offered free medical services, including general checkups, orthopedic consultations, and ophthalmology assessments
Registrants received blood pressure and blood sugar tests, along with free medications. Around 130 individuals registered for the camp, and 20 were referred to ACS Hospital for further evaluation.

Learning through adventure & play!

Summer camps provide empowering spaces for children from deprived family backgrounds that make learning enjoyable & engaging.

On day 1 of the summer camp yesterday at the Avanam-Periyanayagipuram Gaja housing project location, it was pure fun with lots of learning for the 60 children from the local communities. The kids enjoyed engaging in interactive games like chess, carrom, bottle filling, kabbadi, & musical chairs. New friendships blossomed, their gaming skills sharpened, and their growing talents were nurtured!

Where skills are built & potentials bloom!

Summer camps provide invaluable opportunities for children from vulnerable communities to learn, do a wide range of team-based activities, and discover hidden talents.

Nearly 125 children from the local communities participated in summer camp held at SEESHA's learning centre at D.J. Halli, Bengaluru, in the past 2 days. During day 1, awareness sessions were held among the children about personal hygiene, healthy eating, dengue awareness, good study habits, prevention of mobile addiction, and many more.

During day 2, 12 types of games were conducted among the participating children to encourage physical activity & team spirit, and prizes were distributed to the winners.

2025 TN 12th Grade Results: SEESHA Learning Center Students Excel Beyond Barriers!

The TN Board +2 results were declared on May 8, and all the 86 students from SEESHA Learning centres across Tamil Nadu who appeared for the exams aced the exams with flying colors! A perfect 100% pass rate! A huge congratulations to all the students who passed their exams, despite the challenges they faced!

Ms. A. Reena from Andipalayam Learning Centre, Cuddalore, achieved a remarkable feat by scoring 507 marks out of 600 in the board exams. The passed-out students expressed their gratitude and credited their success to their parents, teachers, and tutors from SEESHA.

Their educational journeys highlight their hard work and commitment to excellence, despite the many hardships they encounter in their families and social lives. Wishing them best wishes for their successful career paths!
