Natyaa Aaradhana founded by Jayanthi Srivatsan is a cultural academy dedicated to the preservation of traditional values in Indian Art, especially in the field of Bharthanatyam. Described as a refined artiste blessed with a natural grace, Jayanthi enchants with versatile bhava. Having learnt Bharathanatyam from the age of 4 and having had her arangetram (dance debut) at the age of 12, Jayanthi has
been in the performing scene ever since. Roja Kannan in Bharathanatyam and Guru Smt. She is under the tutelage of Smt. Bragha Bessel for learning the nuance of Abhinaya. Her guru in Carnatic Vocal Music is Smt. She has completed a course in Bharathanatyam Theory in Abhinaya Darpana from the Association of Bharathanatyam of India & Fine Arts Foundation India. She has over two decades of professional performing experience to her credit both in India and abroad. Along with her sister Kamakshi, Jayanthi has performed in all the major Sabhas and Cultural organisations in Chennai including the “Sivarathri Dance Festival” held at Chidambaram by Natyanjali Trust. She has also toured the Malaysia and Singapore for performances and lecture demonstrations. Jayanthi along with her sister Kamakshi were the Brand Ambassadors for promoting the culture and heritage of Tamil Nadu through TamilNadu Tourism initiatives. She is the director of the Dance School “Natyaa Aaradhana” where she along with her sister imparts training to aspiring students of dance & nattuvangam. Jayanthi has also choreographed dance for corporate events, college cultural and school cultural. Born in 1982, she is double Postgraduate degree one in Fine Arts from Sastra University and another in Human Rights from Madras University. She graduated in English Literature from the prestigious Ethiraj college in Chennai.
