The tribal regions in India are bestowed with the wealth of natural resources like forest and minerals and traditional knowledge that the tribal communities possess about the natural eco-system, medicinal plants, forest produce, handicrafts and agriculture. Ironically these regions are also one of the most under-developed and face problems of great scale such as poverty, malnutrition, low literacy

and poor health. These mammoth problems can only be solved when inspired individuals challenge the status quo with their entrepreneurial zeal and spirit of innovation and develop solutions building on the core strengths of the tribal regions. With the motive to inspire, nurture and promote this spirit of entrepreneurship; NITI Aayog held India’s first Tribal Entrepreneurship Summit at Dantewada, Chhattisgarh on 14th Nov, 2017. The event was a part of 8th Global Entrepreneurship Summit being held in India for the first time with the joint efforts of Government of India and United States of America. The tribal entrepreneurship summit saw the participation of tribal entrepreneurs from various sectors across the country and abroad and was attended by the dignitaries like Hon. then MoS, Science and Technology, Y. S. Chowdary and Mr. Ramanathan Ramanan, Additional Secretary, NITI Aayog.

The tremendous roar of this Mighty waterfall amidst the virgin forests of Abujhmad is observed to be audible from a distance of 5 kilometers owing to its height of 500 feet. BAILADILA, resembling the hump of an Ox has the highest point in the state of Chhattisgarh, producing very high grade iron ore.
