Little Bunting

This is a small bunting, measuring only 12–14 cm (4.7–5.5 in) in length.[2] It has white underparts with dark streaking on the breast and sides. With its chestnut face and white malar stripe, it resembles a small female reed bunting, but has black crown stripes, a white eye-ring, and a fine dark border to the rear of its chestnut cheeks. The sexes are similar.

It is found in the Eastern Himalayas. Its range extends from eastern Nepal eastwards to Arunachal Pradesh in India and further to Myanmar, along with Bhutan and southeastern Tibet. Small disjunct populations also exist in continental Southeast Asia.

The spotted laughingthrush (Ianthocincla ocellata) is a bird species in the family Leiothrichidae. It is found in Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, and Nepal. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.

It is found in Nepal and the northern regions of the Indian subcontinent, stretching eastwards into parts of Southeast Asia.

Its natural habitats are temperate forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. In southeast Szechwan and Yunnan, it lives in open mountain woods with moss-covered trees, from 1825 to 3350 meters elevation.

The Satyr Tragopan (Tragopan satyra) is a strikingly colorful pheasant species native to the Himalayan region, including parts of India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet. Males are known for their vibrant red and orange plumage, intricate blue facial markings, and inflatable lappets, which they display during courtship. In contrast, females have more subdued brown and mottled plumage, providing excellent camouflage in their forested habitat.

These birds inhabit dense montane forests and bamboo thickets, typically at elevations between 2,400 and 4,200 meters. Shy and elusive, they primarily feed on fruits, seeds, leaves, and small invertebrates.

The Satyr Tragopan is classified as Near Threatened due to habitat loss and hunting. Conservation efforts focus on protecting their natural habitat and minimizing human disturbances.
