Chasing mountains, finding chaos, and somewhere in between… I found myself 🏔️✨

From flying over the valleys of Manali to riding through roads that test your courage, every moment felt unreal.
The cold winds, the roaring rivers, the silence of the mountains… this isn’t just a trip, it’s a feeling you carry back home.

Some places don’t just give you memories, they change something inside you.
Manali, you were more than just a destination ❤️

Batasia Loop is one of the most iconic landmarks of Darjeeling. Built in 1919, it was designed to solve the steep gradient problem of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. The spiral loop allows the toy train to smoothly climb the hills while offering breathtaking panoramic views of Darjeeling and Mount Kanchenjunga.
It is also home to a War Memorial dedicated to the Gorkha soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation. Today, Batasia Loop stands as a brilliant example of colonial-era engineering blended with natural beauty.

For years, the world has called it Kanchenjunga. But that name has no meaning. It was a colonial misspelling that stripped the mountain of its true identity.

The real name is Khangchendzonga ().

• Khang = Snow

• Chen = Great

• Dzö = Treasure

• Nga = Five

Together, it means "The Five Treasures of the Great Snow."

Five majestic peaks, sacred to the people of Sikkim, Darjeeling, and beyond.

A name is not just a word - it is identity, respect, and history. Calling our mountain by a misspelled name is not okay.

As true Indians, let us honor our Himalaya and set it free from centuries of error. Say it right, with pride:

Khangchendzonga.
