Gr8 Himalaya Tourism

Gr8 Himalaya Tourism Exploring nature The Great Himalaya is a vision which is totally based on eco-tourism. The young generation of Himalaya is migrating frequently.

Eco- Tourism for us is not only practicing sanitation habits in tourism but it is to bring the people in the touch of the nature and make them understand that only touring these regions is not enough but greatness and diversity of the nature is required to be saved for the life on the planet. We are also aimed to explore and expose the untouched places of Uttarakhand and Garhwal Himalaya for th

e sustainable tourism opportunities. In the absence of basic comfort like road electricity these places are not developed and found highlights. The development of these places could be possible by encouraging tourism, because the mountain regions are having rich bio-diversity, most eventful and exciting places. They are leaving their region, culture and migrating to urban areas for earnings. The gr8 Himalaya is working to set an example to those young people by creating milestones with the help of the beautiful nature. We are finding the approach to save our Himalaya from pollution and livelihood challenges and migrating attitude.

Imagine playing Holi with milk, butter and chaach (butter milk) at an altitude of 10,000 feet on a Himalayan trek! As bizarre as it may sound, the villagers of Raithal near Uttarkashi do exactly that.

They are seen having jolly good time celebrating Anduri, a festival, on the velvet green grass of Dayara Bugyal in Uttarakhand. This high altitude Butter Holi Festival of Dayara Bugyal is one of its kind and happens from August 16 to 18 every year.

Anduri is a festival of expressing gratitude to mother nature. The locals flock with their cattle to the grassland of Dayara. They are seen expressing their love for the Dayara meadows, which provide fodder for their cattle. The eventful proceeding starts with some 500 villagers, who are seen playing Holi with butter milk on the slopes of Dayara.
