JAPAN IMMIGRATION PATHWAYS !!

J-Skip and J-Find visas to attract skilled professionals & top grads

• J-Find is a job seeker visa for graduates from top foreign universities
• J-Skip is a pathway that can be used by a researcher, an engineer, and a high-level manager.
• The Japanese government makes “young people with high potential” seek jobs quickly in the country.

Japan New Immigration Pathways

Japan plans to announce new immigration pathways for high-income earners and graduates of high-ranking foreign universities. The new pathways will be implemented in April after a public comment process named as the Japan System for Special Highly Skilled Professionals (J-Skip) and the Japan System for Future Creation Individual Visa (J-Find).
The pathways will include engineers and foreign researchers with an annual income of ¥20 million ($148,000) and a master’s degree or over ten years of work experience.
The Japanese government has also announced that it would make the process of searching for jobs in Japan for “young people with high potential”.

J-Find – A job seeker visa
J-Find is a job seeker visa that will let graduates from top foreign universities stay longer in Japan as they seek employment there. With this visa, family members will also be allowed. However, various other criteria have to be fulfilled by the candidate.

J-Skip – A highly skilled professional visa
J-Skip can be used only if you are a researcher, an engineer, and a high-level manager. Under this new visa, one can skip Japan’s current point-based system as they can be directly considered for a highly skilled professional visa. However, they must meet the income and work experience criteria as well.
