On world heritage day... Here's something which I personally call as the "BADE-MIYAH CHOTEY- MIYAH DUO".
•Though they date back one another by almost 1000 years & represent different faith BADE MIYAH is often called as the victory tower or the lath of the Sufi saint qutub Uddin bhaktiyar kaki sahab or as per rumors the call for azan was also given from there (rumors).
•The iron pillar on the other part was the GARUD STAMBH (Vishnu ji ke vahan) but also this pillar was as per folklores was how a dynasty would have been stayed longer and delhi got its name. But, the fun part this too was used as a victory tower. Similarities right ????
~Hence here I will quote Prabhu Ramakrishna who long back stated “All religions are true. God can be reached by different religions. Many rivers flow by many ways but they fall into the sea. They all are one".

Deriving its name from the Hindu Epic the Ramayana, this ancient fort far predates the Portuguese rule in Goa, making it one of the oldest forts in Goa. Though time and the elements have weathered this proud structure, it still stands today, guarding the mouth of the Sal River and commanding panoramic views of the ocean and the surrounding countryside. Little back story about the fort This ancient fort has been standing on the bluff overlooking the Cape for centuries. It changed hands many times during its history and was controlled sometimes by the Hindu rulers and sometimes by the Muslim rulers. The Portuguese wrested it from the control of the Raja of Soonda in 1763 and remained in control of it for the rest of the colonial rule of Goa.

When the fort was no longer useful as a military bastion, it was converted into a prison in 1935 and continued to be used in this capacity until 1955.
