The majestic Jami Masjid, also known as Jama Masjid of Champaner, stands triumphantly about 150 feet (46 m) east of the city walls, embodying the splendor of the 15th century and proudly regarded as one of the most exquisite mosques in western India.

It is one of the most resplendent mosques of Gujarat, a gigantic structure that inspires awe with its two imposing minarets that flank the central entrance to the prayer hall. The dome behind the high central screen of the façade rises majestically on two extra storeys of open arcades.

The roof just behind this dome boasts a carved slab of breathtaking beauty and ingenious workmanship. There are seven mehrabs (prayer niches) in the back wall of the main prayer hall, the central one being a masterpiece of elaborate design. The northern section of the prayer hall was reverently reserved for ladies, separated by a delicate perforated screen, where an additional entrance was thoughtfully provided.

A pillared corridor wraps around the vast courtyard, opening inside through ogival arches supported by pillars. The Mosque's three entrance porches to the courtyard each have their own charm, but the eastern porch stands out for its intricate carving and Jaali work.

Outside the mosque, an octagonal tank with steps invites the faithful for ablutions, its construction a testament to the craftsmanship of the late 15th century A.D.
