We visited The Golden Fort of Jaisalmer . You would be surprised to know that, it is home to around 3000 peopleπ± , who live within its walls . "Jaisalmer" is a city that looks like straight out of a fairy tale .The 'Queen of Thar Desert,' Jaisalmer is inarguably the best travel destination in Rajasthan.
We visited Jaisalmer Fort is also known us "The Golden Fort" (Sonar Quila) , a perfect word that describes this mighty fort. Its a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Also visited Gadi Sagar lake which around 2 kms. from Jaisalmer fort. Gadi Sagar Lake is a manmade reservoir (lake), which was built by the founder of Jaisalmer, King Rawal Jaisal in 1156 AD. The lake is marvelously placed in a picturesque surroundings and an imposing sandstone entrance which opens to the lake. One can enjoy a boat ride on the lake or just sit on any of the Ghats for a soothing experience and see the tranquil beauty of the surroundings.
