Shri Vighnahar is located in District Pune tahsil Junnar. The temple is based on the Kukdi river banks.
All Rishi-Munis held Ganesh Yagya in Himalaya to remove all obstacles, crisis. This Yagya was limited to Rishi- Munis so they didn't invite Gods and Goddesses. Lord Indra got upset and sent Yama in the form of Vighnasur and asked him to create problems in the Yagya. Narad Muni advised Rishis to chant mantra 'Om Shrim Glon Klin, Gan- Om श्रीं ग्लों क्लिं गं'
With this chant and offering of Durva - Lord Ganesha appeared from the Yagya. Vighnasur fled away in the area of Kukdi river and started troubling people staying there. So everyone started praying for Lord Ganesha. Lord Ganesha caught hold of Vighnasur.
Vighnasur asked mercy from Lord Ganesha and asked him to stay with him. Lord Ganesha included Vighnasur in his army. With a doubt about Vighnasur's behaviour he asked Vighnasur not to trouble anyone who will start good things with Lord Ganesha's worship and taking his name before any good deed.
With this all Rishi Muni were happy and formed Vighneshwar on Shuddh chaturthi of Bhadrapada month at Ozar

Lord Ganesha at Ranjangaon is famous as Mahaganpati. The temple is based in Pune district Tahsil Shirur. It used to be called Manipur in olden times.
Lord Shiva could not defeat demon Tripurasur in first. Narad muni told him to pray Lord Ganesha for his blessings. Lord Shiva did his meditation in padmasana by chanting Om. With his meditation a divine thing was manifested which had five faces, ten hands, moon on the forehead and cobras in the neck.
This is called Omkar swaroop Lord Ganesha. Lord Ganesha told Lord Shiva to chant obstacle removing mantra for thousand times and shoot the demon Tripurasur with an arrow and that should kill the demon.
Lord Shiva built this temple. This Ganeshji loves pearls and corals, so the place was known as Manipur.
Lord Shiva killed the demon Tripurasur on Kartik shuddh Poornima. So Lord Shiva is also called Tripurari - ari means enemy. And this Poornima is celebrated as Tripurari Poornima.
In Ranjangaon, natives do not bring Ganesha idols at home in the month of Bhadrapada.
They all visit this temple for worship.

Let's you accomplish your desired plan/work, is the reputation of Siddhatek Ganesh ji. Siddhatek is placed on the banks of river Bhima in Ahmednagar district and Tahsil Karjat. It is been observed that even if river Bhima is flooded, the noise of the water doesn't reach this place.
This Ganesh idol has rightside trunk. Only one in all Ashtavinayak idols. Lord Vishnu prayed and meditated here for the blessings of Lord Ganesha to kill demons and finally got the blessings from Lord Ganesha and achieved victory over demons. This is the reason the name - Siddhatek
Maharshi Vyas conducted Ygya here and the place is also nearby and the soil still feels like ashes or bhasma. Main Garbhgriha of this temple is built by Shrimati Ahilyabai Holkar.
Circumbulation of this temple in clockwise direction for 21 times makes your wishes come true - is the saying by devotees

In Pune district, Tahsil Haveli, there is a village Theur. Theur is surrounded by rivers Mula and M***a. In the river there is Holy Place called Kadamba, it is called Chintamani as well. This place was also favourite place for Shrimant Therale(Senior) Madhavrao Peshwe
When Lord Brahma was creating universe, he was affected with the ego of the creator and started thinking, everything is running b'cos of him. With this difficulties started in creation of the universe. Desire, anger, pride, greed, hatred and fascination was troubling Lord Brahma. And he could not concentrate on the creation of the universe
Narad muni asked Lord Brahma to pray Lord Chintamani. Agitation, insanity, simpleton, purposive and hindrance are five stages of mind. By praying Chintamani, all these five stages go away and one can experience calmness. Narad muni told Lord Brahma to do tapashcharya with his wife. Lord Brahma stood on one leg in river Mula M***a and did tapashcharya of Lord Omkar Ganesha.
Lord Ganesha was happy with him and blessed him. So Lord Brahma installed Ganesha Murti and called it Chintamani. Later the temple was made by Chintamani Maharaj, 350 years ago. Shrimant Thorale Madhavarao Peshwe enlarged it.
You can also visit Bhairavnath temple and Kaundinya Rishi Ashram in near vicinity.

Shri Mayurashwar Morgaon
In ashtavinayak - eight swaroops of lord Ganesha - Morgaon Ganesha has lot of importance. The temple is on the banks of river Karha. Which is in Pune district of Maharashtra and Baramati tahsil.
Before lord Brahma started building the universe, lord Ganesha made a place inside earth and he incarnated first in Morgaon. This is the reason Morgaon has got importance of Adyapeeth. There used to be lots of peacocks in this area so the village got the name - Morgaon
Before starting to build the universe - lord Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh , Shakti and Surya did repeated chanting of Om ♿
Lord Ganesha was very happy with it and in the Hindu month of Bhadrapada on shuddh chaturthi he came in front of all these five deitees. So they founded Omkar Ganesha at Morgaon.
Sindurasur and Kamalasur was killed by lord Ganesha sitting on Peacock at Morgaon. This is also one of the reason lord Ganesha is called Mayureshwar here.
There is Nandi in front of the temple. This the only Ganesh temple which has Nandi in front of it.
The story of this Nandi goes like this - Nandi was being taken to be founded at nearby Shiv Mandir. The cart taking Nandi broke down in front of Ganesh temple. None could move Nandi from there after lots of efforts. Nandi came in the dream of one of the villager and requested to be founded in front of Ganesh temple

From Woodbury we started for Christchurch
Two hours drive. It was again with beautiful farms both sides of the road.
Reached Christchurch. Beautiful clean city. Very convenient to move around
We were right in the city centre with bus terminus just three minutes walk away, main shopping area was all around the corner.
We checked for a city card and it was a lottery. 5 NZD for card, top up minimum 5 NZD and wherever you go , in the city just 2 NZD will be charged.
We used it to really great extent
There are trams for City tour cost you NZD 40 per person. If you are in CBD, all City attractions are within walking distance.
Apart from normal CBD attractions we found three great places one must visit
Sumner, Lyttelton and New Brighton.
Sumner is a great waterfront with nice restaurants beach and water sports
Lyttelton is port area and has ferries going to dimond harbour.
New Brighton is a beach area.
This was end of our first trip to New Zealand
