The Golden Temple, also known as Harmandir Sahib, meaning "abode of God" is a Gurdwara located in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India. The dome is covered in Gold foil and hence the name Golden Temple, nestled around a holy-pool know as Amritsarovar the temple was built in 16th century and is the holiest Gurdwara and the most important pilgrimage site of Sikhism.
