ज्योतिर्लिंग शब्द का अर्थ है प्रकाश स्तंभ। पुराणों के अनुसार, भगवान एक ज्योति के रूप में पृथ्वी पर प्रकट हुए थे। पृथ्वी पर 12 अलग-अलग जगहों पर दिव्य ज्योति के रूप में परमपिता परमेश्वर स्वयं विराजित हुए थे और इन्हीं जगहों को ज्योतिर्लिंग कहा जाता है।
1. गुजरात के सौराष्ट्र में स्थित सोमेश्वर या सोमनाथ ज्योतिर्लिंग पृथ्वी पर प्रकट हुआ सबसे पहला ज्योतिर्लिंग है। पुराणों के अनुसार यहाँ पर स्वयं चंद्रमा ने अपनी चमक वापस पाने के लिए भगवान शंकर की कठोर तपस्या की थी, तभी से इसका नाम सोमनाथ पड़ गया था।
2. आंध्र प्रदेश के कृष्णा जिले में श्रीशैल नाम के पर्वतों (जिन्हें हम दक्षिण के कैलाश के नाम से जानते हैं) पर मल्लिकार्जुन ज्योतिर्लिंग है। ऐसा प्रचलित है कि यहाँ के ज्योतिर्लिंग के दर्शन मात्र से ही मनुष्य के सभी पाप नष्ट हो जाते हैं।
3. मध्य प्रदेश के उज्जैन जिले में स्थित है महाकालेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग के नाम से प्रसिद्ध तीसरा ज्योतिर्लिंग। शिप्रा नदी के किनारे स्थित यह ज्योतिर्लिंग एकमात्र दक्षिण मुखी ज्योतिर्लिंग है।
4. मध्य प्रदेश के ही मालवा जिले में नर्मदा नदी के किनारे एक और ज्योतिर्लिंग है जिन्हें आप और हम ओमकारेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग के नाम से जानते हैं। यहाँ पर पहाड़ों के चारों ओर नदी बहने से ओम का आकार बनता है इसीलिए इसका नाम ओम्कारेश्वर पड़ गया।
5. उत्तराखंड में केदारनाथ ज्योतिर्लिंग है जो कि हिमालय की केदार नामक चोटी पर है और यह समुद्रतल से लगभग 3.5 हजार मीटर ऊपर है। यह अलकनंदा और मंदाकिनी नदी के तट पर स्थित है। चार धाम यात्रा का यह सबसे प्रमुख तीर्थ है और इसकी यात्रा काफी कठिन मानी जाती है।
6. महाराष्ट्र प्रदेश के पुणे जिले में सहयाद्रि नाम के पहाड़ों पर भीमाशंकर ज्योतिर्लिंग स्थित है। आकार में काफी फैला हुआ होने के कारण इनका नाम भीमाशंकर यानी विशालकाय पड़ा और इन्हें मोटेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग भी कहा जाता है।
7. उत्तर प्रदेश के वाराणसी शहर में बाबा विश्वनाथ का प्रसिद्ध ज्योतिर्लिंग स्थित है। इस मंदिर का जीर्णोद्धार महारानी अहिल्याबाई होलकर द्वारा कराया गया था। यह सबसे पवित्र ज्योतिर्लिंग माना जाता है। पुराणों के अनुसार भगवान शिव को यह स्थान इतना प्रिय था कि उन्होंने कैलाश छोड़कर यहीं पर अपना निवास स्थान बना लिया था।
8. महाराष्ट्र के नासिक जिले में ब्रह्मागिरी नाम के पर्वतों पर त्रयम्बकेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग स्थित है।
9. बैद्यनाथ ज्योतिर्लिंग झारखंड के संथाल परगना में स्थित है। आपको बता दें कि यह वही स्थान है जहाँ रावण ने भगवान शिव की कठिन तपस्या की थी और उनसे लंका चलने की शर्त रखी थी।
10. गुजरात के बड़ौदा शहर में नागेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग स्थित है।
11. दक्षिण भारत में तमिलनाडु के रामनाथम शहर में रामेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग तीर्थ है जिसे स्वयं भगवान श्रीराम ने स्थापित किया था। यह हमारे देश के सबसे भव्य मंदिरों में से एक है। यहीं पर लंका जाते वक्त श्रीराम ने विश्राम किया था और मिट्टी से शिवलिंग बनाकर भगवान शिव की प्रार्थना की थी। जब प्रसन्न होकर भगवान शिव प्रकट हुए तो उन्होंने लंका पर विजय पाने का वरदान मांगा, तभी से यह एक ज्योतिर्लिंग में परिवर्तित हो गया।
12. महाराष्ट्र जिले के संभाजीनगर के पास दौलताबाद में घुश्मेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग स्थित है जिसे शिवालय भी कहा जाता है।

Dubai Visa on Arrival :-Indians to get visa on arrival in UAE, on this condition
The UAE Cabinet has approved a decision to grant Indian passport holders with either a valid US visa or a green card a visa on arrival.

The decision comes within the framework of the long-term strategic partnership between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of India, the promotion of political, economic and trade interests between the two countries. This decision strengthens the UAE's external relations by facilitating the visa issuance process in order to confirm its global status as a tourist and economic hub.

Under the new move, ordinary passport holders from India who have a US visa or green card with a minimum six-month validity can enter the country from any point of entry for a period of 14 days, with an option for a one-time extension of the same period.
