We’re heading to Khajuraho this year in our "Postcards From India" tour.
And no, it’s not just “that temple town.”

It’s home to 85 temples, built over 1,000 years ago
by the Chandela dynasty—
without modern technology, machines, or blueprints.
Just raw human skill.
And today, only 25 of them remain.

They’re not just ancient—they’re alive.
Every carving, every corridor, every whisper of stone
tells stories of gods, mortals, desire, devotion—and everything in between.

And the best part?
We’re staying in a luxury eco-stay nestled in the rural heart of Khajuraho—
where mornings begin with birdsong, not alarms.
And the design?
All local, all earthy, all soul.

This isn’t just a detour.
It’s a reset.

Limited spots open for Postcards From India 2026.
Comment “Me” and I will send you the itinerary.

We’d love to have you.

It’s been a few months since we spent time at Wildlife SOS.
But the memories still sit warm—like sunlight on fur.

We cleaned. We cooked.
We made swings out of ropes and love.
We learned how sloth bears were once made to “dance”
and how elephants were trained into silence.

But mostly—we listened.
To the stories carved into each animal’s recovery.
To the caretakers who show up every day with quiet devotion.
To the stillness. And the healing.

isn’t just a sanctuary.
It’s a reminder of what kindness looks like when it finally has space.

We’ll be back soon.
To say hi to the friends who can’t speak,
but somehow always remember.

The first thing they placed in front of us wasn’t food.
It was a pattal — a plate stitched together from leaves.
Simple. Quietly beautiful.
The kind of thing that says: this is going to mean something.

At Ekka Villa, food doesn’t come plated —
it arrives like a memory, rooted in the way India has fed her people for centuries.
Curries in clay bowls, chutneys in leaf cups,
and winter greens that tasted like someone’s grandmother made them with her hands.

We bring our guests here not just for the food,
but for the feeling of being served — the old-school, heart-first way.

And every time we come back, it reminds us:
slow food is still the richest kind.
