Thailand is updating its checked baggage security regulations effective October 16, 2026.

The Indian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur has cautioned Indian citizens against travelling to Malaysia under the 30-day visa-free facility for employment purposes.

This comes after a rise in cases of misleading job offers by agents.

The 30-day visa-free entry facility for Indian passport holders is for tourism and social visits only, not employment.

Overstaying in Malaysia will result in legal action by the Malaysian government.

The High Commission has advised Indian citizens to have a confirmed return ticket, a hotel booking, and a passport valid for at least six months when travelling to Malaysia.

They are also advised to fill out the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card online three days before arriving in Malaysia.
