Considering the diversity and broadness of our country, we wish to drive a look towards it. As ‘conventions’ existing in community, in India, can be anything (like female victimization, traditional culture and practices have no more scope in modern world, conventional education system in India, conventional religious practices, etc.). Such conventions are related to every individual as well as soc
iety as a whole, in some way or the other.
'Reality’ (authenticity) is associated with our life. The main aim of our talks in reference to this theme is to make people aware of the truth around them, at the same time understanding its purpose of its existence and importance. To live up the spirit of TED, we are aiming to discover the 'realities beyond conventions'. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).
