The ambiance is very nice. Good music. The good news ends here.
Our server was sad....a novice. Firstly, he tried to compel us to have Heineken from a Budweiser lager glass because "we have standards". When we informed him that all Hard Rock Café outlets serve Heineken in their bottles, he just reiterated that 'the Kolkata outlet has standards'.
The Long Island Iced Tea was diluted and served in the smallest glass that I have ever had this famous cocktail in....ever! The server said that if we order another cocktail then he will ensure that it is proper. Seriously? You serve 'according to standard' stuff only if we reorder? LOL. You're the first server on the planet to say this.
The Legendary Burger was served after over a 45-minute wait. Even though we told the chef that the fries needed to be crispy, then we're floppy. The burger was slightly lukewarm...makes me wonder why we waited for such a long time. The chef then promised to redo the fries... while our burgers reached room temperature. The whole thing was pathetic....and then charge high rates for this kind of crap? They even charge for mayonnaise. Wow! Hard Rock Café, you are more like a bunch of cunning and slimy thieves who have a restaurant as a front! You overcharge for everything with the service that's below than an old dilapidated haunted restaurant. Henceforth, I will rate all bad restaurants as 'as bad as Hard Rock Café?' Congratulations. You are the new low.
Would I recommend Hard Rock Café to anyone? No.
Would I visit this outlet or any other Hard Rock Café outlets again? Never.... maybe the US outlets. But not the Indian ones. Kolkata has set the 'standard' (as our server reminded us).
Invest in training your service staff. Ensure that processes are in place in the bar and the kitchen. Treat your guests with respect. Don't miss-sell.
