Imagine walking into a 2,000-year-old village where the greatest villain of Indian mythology is worshipped as a god.

You cannot just drive here.
To see the ancient wooden temples of Osla, you have to strap on a heavy backpack and trek deep into the Har Ki Dun valley.

On the Bali Pass trek, you don’t just test your physical limits at 16,000 feet-you literally walk through the chapters of the Mahabharata.

In a single day, you pass through the valley that honors Duryodhan as a generous king, and you stand beneath Swargarohini-the exact peak where the Pandavas made their final, fatal climb to heaven.

The mountains do not hand out these stories to tourists on comfortable vacations. You have to earn them.

The physical grind of navigating steep ridges, freezing temperatures, and high-altitude snow is exactly what makes standing in the shadow of this history so powerful.
The terrain is brutal, but as we always say: the difficulty is exactly where the magic happens.

Most people show up to Bali Pass for the challenge.
They leave completely humbled by the history they just walked through.

Save this post for your next trek and follow for more educational trekking content.

Comment “MYTH” below, and we will send you the upcoming batch dates for this trek.

2026 season for Friendship Peak is officially open, and our very first batch just came back from Expedition.

Don’t let the gentle name fool you-swipe through this carousel to see the raw journey this group just undertook.

Look at the photos and watch the videos as the terrain shifts.
You are looking at early morning starts in the freezing darkness, pitching tents on unstable snow at High Camp, and navigating the technical patches of the expedition.

Being the first batch means dealing with unpredictable, uncrushed snow and breaking the trail for the season.
It is demanding, exhausting, and completely unforgiving.

But we keep reminding you: difficulty is exactly where the magic happens.

This group did not just visit the mountain; they co-lived with it and earned their story the hard way.
If you are done with standard trails and are ready to actually learn mountaineering skills this season, it is time to step up.

Comment “FRIENDSHIP” below, and we will send you the itinerary and open batch dates for the upcoming months :)

POV - You went to Hampta Pass with Bikat Adventures

The food is incredible, but the real test of bravery on this trek?
Waking up at 3 AM in the freezing cold just to answer nature's call.

Meet our trekker.
He survived the ice-cold river crossings, ate his weight in good food, and promptly forgot the names of every single campsite along the way.

Chika? Bhalu Ka Ghera? Shea Goru?
Blank.

As far as he is concerned, he is just going to rename the whole route after himself.

Huge shoutout to our Trek Leader for handling this exact energy for five days straight.

The mountains are tough, but they are also supposed to be fun.

If you think you have the guts to handle the freezing river crossings and the 3 AM bathroom runs, it is time to pack your bags.

Comment "HAMPTA" below and we will send you the itinerary for our upcoming batches.

6 Peaks you can climb today without an IMF Permit!

We know getting an IMF permit to climb a 6,000-meter peak in India is a bureaucratic nightmare.

You need an Advanced Mountaineering Course (AMC) certified leader, strict team ratios, and a mountain of paperwork.
For an independent civilian climber, getting those qualifications means waiting years for a slot at a government institute.

But there is a legal loophole. You just have to stay below 6,000 meters.

The IMF rulebook officially stops at the 6,000m mark.
Below that line, the heavy restrictions disappear.
You still need local state forest permits and registered guides, but you completely bypass the massive IMF hurdle.

We put together a list of six serious peaks you can climb right now.

Do not mistake “no IMF permit” for “easy.” Mountains like Kanamo (5,964m) and Rudragaira (5,819m) will still push your body to its absolute limit.
The mountain doesn’t care about your paperwork. It only cares about your preparation.
Respect is earned out there, whether the peak is 5,900 meters or 6,100 meters.

If you are tired of waiting around for course certifications and want to actually gain some high-altitude expedition experience this season, start here.

Save this post for your next expeditions without Permits.

Comment “6000” below, and we will send you the details to plan these expeditions for free.

April was absolutely marvelous!

We just wrapped up our batches for the month, and the mountains were in a mood.

We saw sudden weather shifts on Pangarchulla, deep, exhausting snow on Goecha La, and freezing winds across the Annapurna Circuit.

Swipe through the carousel. Everyone is smiling while holding those summit banners, but what the camera doesn’t capture are the 2 AM wake-up calls, the freezing toes, and the absolute grind it took to get there.

We keep saying this - difficulty is exactly where the magic happens.
A summit means absolutely nothing if you didn’t have to fight for it.

The mountains demand respect, and every single person in these photos earned theirs the hard way.

Predictable vacations are fine, but they don’t change you. If you are tired of staying comfortable and want to see what you are actually capable of, it is time to put in the work.

Comment “READY” below, and we will send you our upcoming treks calendar so you can pick your next challenge.

What really happens to your body above 4000 M?

At 4,000 meters, the oxygen level is still sitting at exactly 20.9%.
What actually disappears is the barometric pressure.
Every breath you take physically lacks the force to push that oxygen into your bloodstream.

Look at the breakdown. A high-altitude expedition is not a scenic walking holiday.
It is a full-system stress test.

Within hours, your heart rate spikes just to maintain baseline delivery. In a few days, your blood physically thickens as plasma volume drops, and your kidneys start altering your acid-base balance to keep you functioning.

Your stomach kills your appetite.
Your muscles lose their maximum output.

We don’t talk about this to scare you off the trail.
We talk about it because difficulty is exactly where the magic happens.

The mountain does not negotiate. You cannot cheat the adaptation process. You have to earn every single meter by going slow, climbing high, and sleeping low. Respecting the environment starts with understanding your own physiology.

Save this post for your next high altitude trek or expedition.
Stop relying on outdated trekking myths and learn what your body is actually doing when the air gets thin.

You have done a couple of beginner treks. You know the drill.

Start early, walk steady, reach the top, take a photo, and head back down.
It feels… manageable. Predictable, even.

But if we are being honest, trekking isn’t supposed to be completely predictable.

The mountains do not reward people who stay comfortable. The real magic only happens when the terrain pushes back and demands a little more from you.

Swipe through the slides. If you want to know what it feels like to actually co-live with a mountain instead of just walking through it, Sar Pass is where that shift happens.

Your summit day here doesn’t look like a standard trail walk.
You are moving in the pre-dawn cold, navigating deep snow, and paying attention to every single step.

And the descent?
It is a chaotic, adrenaline-filled snow slide where your legs work harder going down than they did going up. You will have wet shoes, cold hands, and a massive smile on your face.

You don’t just get to the top of Sar Pass.
You earn every inch of that trail. And because of that, it stays with you long after your boots finally dry out.

If your last trek felt a little too easy, it is time to step up.

Comment “SAR PASS” below, and we will send you the complete itinerary and upcoming summer batch dates.

The Constitution says any Indian can climb any mountain in India.
The Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) strongly disagrees.

If you have your bucket list set on a 6,000-meter technical peak in the Himalayas, you cannot just prepare and go.
You are about to hit a massive wall of red tape.

Swipe through the carousel. Between mandatory Basic and Advanced Mountaineering Courses (BMC/AMC), strict ratios of certified team members, and documented past ascents, qualifying for a single peak permit in your own country can literally take years of your life.

Welcome to Part 1 of our Expedition Series, where we are breaking down the high-altitude expeditions in India.

These regulations were written decades ago when Indian mountaineering was strictly a military and government project.
Today, they act as a heavy gatekeeper for independent civilian climbers trying to progress in the sport.
Climbing without a permit isn’t an option either-you face severe bans and heavy fines.

So how do you actually step up to the 6,000m mark?

You climb with a team that already has the credentials.
We run pre-vetted expeditions led by AMC-certified veterans.
We handle the strict IMF qualifications and the permits, giving you a legal, structured way to get on the mountain, gain high-altitude experience, and build your climbing resume.

The mountain is hard enough. Let us handle the paperwork.

Comment “PEAKS” below to connect with our veteran expedition experts, and we will send you the exact roadmap to your first 6,000m summit.
