The beauty of a dry deciduous forest does not lie in its lushness but in its golden hues, in its warm & earthy palette of dusty browns, burnt siennas, soft ambers, golden yellow and more. There is poetry in the rustling of the dry, curled up leaves spread across the forest floor, there is drama in how the dust rises and becomes one with the suns rays. The whole forest moves rather cautiously, in complete harmony with the silence. Unlike a rainforest the trees are skeletal, desperately waiting for rains but still nature tries its best to provide the perfect camouflage for the inhabitants by playing with colours…Magical!
And it still is, without a missing link, a complete, self sustaining ecosystem, designed to perfection by Mother Nature.

I know … Another Bird?

Meet the Rufous Treepie: The Bold Bandit of the Wild.

Drive into an Indian wildlife reserve and you might just meet this bold little trickster—the Rufous Treepie. Forget the shy, skittish birds that take off at the sight of humans. This one is a Tiger too, ok let’s settle with maybe - a distant cousin, just with some feathers and somewhat smaller in size but trust me, it’s got the same heart. Sits atop the roll bars of the jeeps and stares right back and if it could talk, it would probably say: “Put that camera down and share your snacks!”.

So next time you see one, remember: it’s not just another bird. It’s the mischievous, fearless, ever-curious Rufous Treepie—the true adventurer of the Indian wild.

Saw the sun shining through this massive tree, yup, heard it right, right through its center.
It was a skyscraper, this tree, easy qualifier for ‘Jack and The Beanstalk’ audition. It had an eye shaped gap right in the center of its trunk. A horse could have jumped through that gap but this morning the sun shone through it and it was a sight. Natures’ Beauty has no equal.
Wonder what a tree house on top of this giant would be like.

Can’t forget the first sight where she stood tall camouflaged by the hues of the dry deciduous forest. Her presence dwarfed everything around.

She didn’t remember her exact age but she remembered that she was very young when she started weaving Pashmina. “Aam” or “Eej” as she preferred being called which is for Mother of course has lines on her palms and fingers which could wreck any palmists mind and without a doubt tell us that, that’s all that she’s done, all her life.. WEAVE PASHMINA aka PASHM.

“600 gram ka banaatee hoon market mein 400gam ka milta hai, Bahut time lagta hai beta, log samajhte nahi” was her only sales pitch.

Don’t push them for big discounts guys. Yes, they are making money on it, nothing that’ll break your bank so allow them to please.. They deserve it. Encourage them🙏
