Here’s a little gem of a place.

We sent our travelers on a trip to the island of Hydra 🐳. It’s a 90 minute ferry ride from Piraeus port in Athens. They arrived seamlessly and slipped into a different dimension.
Travel Savvy shares their description.

Here’s what they said…..
Hydra charmed us. Quaint, peaceful and happy by day, with chic boutiques, little shops and an art scene 🌸

We whiled away hours, comfortably plonked on plump white cushions, we went from coffee to wine, and watched the world go by.
We feasted on Greek salad and fresh fish.

At nightfall, the bars take on a mantle of sophistication, dim lights, mood music and trendy bartenders. 🌌

The donkeys are delightfully placid, these beasts of burden are the only form of transport on Hydra.

I was surprised at their dark eyes, and glossy coats. Cats abound, filled with attitude, fluffy with fur, plump with food, they own every corner of the island, entitlement apparent in every movement. They ran past us on parapets, scrimmaged with each other on cobbled pathways, ginger, black, charcoal, white, flecked with gold, their baleful green eyes gleaming at night.

Four hours from Delhi, and I found myself in a world where mornings begin with birdsong, evenings melt into starry skies, and luxury sits quietly amidst the jungle.

Aalia Jungle Retreat & Spa, set near Raja Ji National Park, is more than just a getaway — it’s an experience in slowing down. The luxury tents, with their inviting sit-outs, made the perfect corner to curl up with a book or simply watch the forest breathe. The pool sparkled a clear, inviting blue, and the spa massage left me feeling light and renewed.

What truly stood out was the farm-to-table experience — wandering through the gardens, plucking fresh vegetables, and cooking alongside the chef made dining feel deeply personal and memorable. Add to that a 9-hole putting green, the seasonal charm of fishing, and the thrill of leopard safaris just around the corner, and gorgeous horses to go horse riding or cycling thru the greens !it felt like there was something for every mood — whether playful or peaceful.

Shaan Bhatnagar is an award wining artist who has adorned the walls of Lalee with his art creations and his wife Devyani is a culinary expert who has carved amazing menus .
Their beauriful boutique hotel is inspired by Krishna’s stories evident in all Soaces

Every corner is inspired by tales of Krishna, making the space feel alive with devotion, creativity, and love. From the art-filled walls to the thoughtful details in design, you’re surrounded by a blend of Jaipur’s cultural heritage and modern comfort. 🌸

What I loved most was how it felt intimate yet vibrant — like stepping into a canvas where tradition and artistry breathe together. Whether it was waking up to serene courtyards, soaking in the warm hospitality, or simply pausing to admire the beauty around me, Lalee left me with memories I’ll cherish forever.
