Cleanest State of India-
According to a survey conducted by the National Sample Survey Office (NSSO), Kerala is said to be the cleanest state of India along with Sikkim. The only state to have hospitals and banks in every village. Along with being the cleanest state it also offers necessary facilities in every corner. Kerala is the only state to have provided banking facilities and hospitals in its remotest locations, thus increasing its overall development.

You can visit the 400 year old Champakkulam church, one of the 7 churches established by St. Thomas. The Chavara Bhavan, located 6 km from Alleppey , is another interesting place that one can't affoed to miss.

Acerca de Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary / Thekkady: De insercion alta en los rangos de los Ghats occidentales. Pais de Dios Kerala, es la reserva de Tigre y Parque Nacional de Periyar. Periyar es un santuario silvestre y tiene un pintoresco lago en el corazón del santuario. Formado con la construcción de una represa en 1895, esta represa serpentea los contornos de las colinas boscosas, proporcionando una fuente permanente de agua para la fauna local. Aunque es una reserva de tigres, turistas vienen aquí a ver los elefantes indios en el acto de ablución (purificacion religiosa) y disfrutarcon alegría, de el Lago Periyar. Aparte de los elefantes, los otros animales a ser visto en el Santuario de Periyar son Gaur, cerdos salvajes, Sambar, ciervo ladrador, ciervo ratón, Dole o perro salvajede India y muy rara vez, un tigre. Ahora, hay un estimado 40 Tigres aquí. Cuatro especies de primates se encuentran en Periyar, el raro León Macaco, el Nilgiri Langur, Langur común y macaco de bonete. Periyar también pasa a ser el hábitat de la esquiva Nilgiri Tahr, que rara vez suele ser visto.
