India really said “I’ll keep this one lowkey” and gave us Chopta 🌿

No chaos, no honking, no overhyped cafés… just pine forests that smell like rain, quiet meadows, and clouds casually drifting through the mountains like they belong there.

And then there’s Tungnath Temple you climb for hours questioning your life choices… and suddenly, boom, the Himalayas just open up around you like a movie scene you didn’t expect to be part of.

This is that soft, untouched, almost unreal side of India no one talks about enough.

And honestly… maybe that’s what makes it even better.

Some places don’t feel like destinations… they feel like a secret you weren’t supposed to find.

You start the climb thinking it’s just another trek.
Same mountains, same turns, same exhaustion.
But somewhere along the way, the noise drops. The air changes. And suddenly, you’re walking through something that doesn’t look real anymore.

It’s quiet in a way that feels loud.
No traffic, no chaos — just you, the rain, and colours you didn’t know existed outside wallpapers.

And the strange part?
It doesn’t stay.
You don’t bookmark it for “next time” because next time, it won’t be the same. That’s what makes it special.

Some places aren’t meant to be explored.
They’re meant to be experienced once… and remembered forever.

It’s National Road Trip Day…
aka the official excuse to stop overthinking and just GO 🚗

No perfect plan
No fixed destination
Just open roads, loud music, and people who make the journey worth it 💛

Because let’s be real…
the best trips are never the ones you planned perfectly 😌

So… where are we heading next?

Ever noticed how the best moments don’t come from plans… but from getting a little lost?
Like you step out for “just a walk” and suddenly it’s 2 AM in Varanasi… and nothing feels the same.
No chaos. No noise.

Just quiet lanes, dim lights, and that weird comfort of not knowing where you’re going.
And instead of panicking… you just let it happen.
No Google Maps.

No “I need to reach somewhere.”
No control.

And for once… your brain shuts up.
You’re not lost.
You’re just not trying to control every next step.
And honestly?

That feeling stays longer than the route ever does.
If you’ve ever had a moment like this… you already know.
If you haven’t maybe it’s time you stop planning everything.

👉 Tell me: would you do a 2 AM walk like this… or never?

POV: you finally find a place that doesn’t feel like a content factory.

No neon cafés.
No “top 10 things to do.”
No crowd rushing for the same sunset reel.

Just Chopta being effortlessly unreal.

Pine forests that don’t end.
Meadows that slow you down.
And a trek to Tungnath Temple that feels more like a reset than a hike.

Maybe some places stay magical
because not everyone is trying to go viral there.

Save this before it’s not a secret anymore.

We planned a Spiti trip full of views you’d want to capture…
but Spiti had a different itinerary for you 🙂

The moment you enter Kaza — network disappears.
No Instagram. No WhatsApp. No “just 2 mins online.”

First, there’s panic.
Then… there’s peace.

Suddenly you’re not scrolling, you’re sitting.
Not posting, but actually talking — to locals, to fellow travellers, to yourself.

By the time you reach Komic, something shifts.
Your phone stops occupying your mind.
And Spiti finally does.

This isn’t just a trip you take.
It’s one that disconnects you from everything…
so you can reconnect with what actually matters.

And somehow, that feels better than any picture you could’ve posted.

Travel with Monks & Monkeys Travels
Not just to see places. But to feel them.

Not everything you see on a map feels real in person…

There’s a place where borders don’t divide — they just pass through.
In Longwa Village, one house sits in two countries at the same time.

No drama. No checkpoints inside the home.
Just everyday life… split by a line someone once decided to draw.
Makes you think —
some borders exist on paper more than they do in reality.

Most people stop at Ladakh… and think that’s it.
But the real story goes further — all the way to Tawang.

Cross Sela Pass, reach Tawang Monastery, and suddenly it’s not about ticking places — it’s about feeling something.

Less crowd. More silence.
That’s the difference.

Okay so when Modi ji said “travel within India first”…
we didn’t think it would turn into THIS 😭🇮🇳

Like we started casually—just one trip—
and now it’s lowkey an addiction.

Because how do you stop
when you find canyons, frozen rivers,
and temples above the clouds… IN INDIA??

No but seriously
we were busy planning international trips
while all of this was right here.

Safe to say… that advice hits different now.

Anyway, we’re not stopping.
