Huw Kingston is an Australian-based adventurer, writer, and environmentalist who has spent over 30 years undertaking long human-powered journeys in wild places across the world. Huw has had a longstanding love affair with India and the Indian Himalaya in particular. This includes numerous pioneering ski touring journeys in winter.

His love of extended human-powered journeys included 25,000 km circumnavigating Australia by foot, ski, kayak, and bike and a year-long, 13000 km circumnavigation of the Mediterranean Sea by sea kayak, foot, ocean rowboat, and bike through 17 countries.
