Nestled high in the Eastern Himalayas, Thimphu is the capital of Bhutan. Here, at 7,874ft is where you’ll find hand painted floral motifs brightening up facades of homes, scarlet chillies and garlands of beef drying in the sun, demure women dressed in striking kiras and cosy cafes and souvenir shops dotting the streets.
Perfect time to visit this enchanting tiny kingdom full of soaring mountains, lush valleys and unique culture.
