Bijli Mahadev Temple Shiva Lingam habitually struck by thunder once in 3years and broken...

Bijli Mahadev Temple is located at an altitude of 2,460m in Kullu Valley. It is located 14 km from Kullu town, it can be approached by a rewarding trek of 3 km. The Shiva lingam of the temple habitually struck by thunder ball and broken into pieces. The priest of the temple then uses butter as adhesive to put the pieces back together. This is why the temple named Bijli Mahadev.
