*UAE Extends Visa-On-Arrival for 87 Countries, Including New Options for Indians!*
The UAE has revamped its visa policy, making travel smoother than ever. Citizens from 87 countries can now get a visa upon arrival, while Indian travelers with specific valid documents can also enjoy a new visa-on-arrival program.
Great news for travellers! The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expanded its visa-on-arrival program, allowing citizens of 87 countries to enter the country without obtaining a visa beforehand. This move aims to streamline the tourist process and boost tourism in the Emirates.
Previously, only 73 countries enjoyed this visa exemption. The updated policy simplifies travel for a wider range of nationalities, making the UAE an even more attractive travel destination.
Needs a Visa Before Travelling to the UAE?
- While 87 nationalities can now get a visa upon arrival, citizens from 110 countries, including India (for now), still require a visa before travelling to the UAE. Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) citizens are exempt from visas and can enter using their GCC passport or ID card.

- There’s exciting news for Indian passport holders! While India isn’t yet included in the general visa-on-arrival program, there’s a new option specifically for Indians with valid travel documents from other countries.

- *Indian citizens holding a normal passport valid for at least six months can now avail of a single-entry, 14-day visa on arrival in the UAE.
*To qualify, you must possess a valid US visit visa (minimum six months), a US green card (minimum six months), or a residence visa from the UK or EU (minimum six months).
*This visa comes with a fee of USD 63 and the possibility of a 14-day extension.
