As the world gears up for major transitions and emerging new world order, with fast changing models in the fields ranging from Politics to Art and Entertainment, Education would not be left untouched. Yes, education is undergoing major reform, and it was made clear in the recently concluded meeting at Berlin between our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, where Vocational Education was one of the key topics discussed. How deep is politics in motion picture Industry?
In the early 1940’s when the allies were losing in the ground and Britain had suffered huge losses in World War 2, the government then hired screenwriter Noel Coward to put to frame a patriotic movie “In which we serve” fully backed by Ministry of information to boost the public morale and national identity. History is not minus politics infiltrating media, the arts and entertainment sector and there are numerous such instances, one recently coming from India itself, with PM Modi reviewing Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha as good effort. Without commenting on PM’s artistic inclines, let’s close in on actor Akshay Kumar, who recently got National Award for the movie Rustom, which requires no brainer to guess; is also a patriotic movie. How many of the recent movies the star has starred in has similar nationalistic undertone to it? Baby, Rustom, Naam Shabana, Holiday to name a few?

8 years before on this very month, a terrible tragedy came knocking at the doors of DPS alumni and Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja’s life. The Gangster actor who got stardust award for superstar of tomorrow was now convicted and sentenced to 7 years of rigorous imprisonment. Jab Shahrukh met Imtiaz
The upcoming rom-com starring Shahrukh and Anushka which is slated to hit the theatres on August 4 has been doing the rounds on news for all the wrong reasons, yet an oft overlooked angle to it is that we’ll be seeing one of the finest voices and directors in the Bollywood Industry Imtiaz Ali collaborating with the superstar Shahrukh Khan. Interesting to note is the fact that, Imtiaz’s earlier film Tamasha had very openly and sarcastically even, trolled Shahrukh for his over the top persona in movies. Yet the star, has taken all this in good sport, and shown incline to work with this director with a taste and style.

Linked your mobile to your Aadhar card yet?
The Aadhar card registration which was an initiative of previous government Congress, has been taken one step further by present government, by issuing an order on behalf of TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) which makes it mandatory for all telecom operators to link their customers to Aadhar Card via E KYC (Know Your Customer forms). The TRAI have given operators 1 year time, and post 2018, all those numbers not linked to aadhar card would be deactivated. The decision though seems stringent and tedious at first, on the long run is good for the whole as it strengthens social security.

The Poster of Accidental Prime Minister out
The poster of Accidental Prime Minister a biopic on Manmohan Singh, who served as Prime Minister of India for two consecutive terms was released today. Things couldn’t seem fishier, as Anupam Kher who portrays Manmohan Singh in the biopic has been an active supporter of BJP and been critical of congress. Singer-Songwriter Bob Dylan finally delivers Noble Lecture, after being awarded Nobel Prize for Literature 2016
“The times they’re a changin” a phrase that has become as common as air was written by singer-songwriter Bob Dylan who donned many hats in his prime, called the troubadour of conscience, prophet, poet, rebel and many such titles that came along with his musical career. Bob Dylan born Robert Allen Zimmerman was awarded the Nobel Literature award for the year 2016, in which he was reported absent. Without Foreign Aid, ISRO independently propels the heaviest rocket into space
On Monday when the whole world was celebrating World Environment day and India was just settling down after victory over Pakistan at the champions trophy, ISRO just put an icing on the cake, with launching the next generation GSLV- MK 3 (capable of carrying payloads up to 6 tones) into space.
