Vist Prashar lake located in lap of Himalayas.

Prashar lake is related with Rishi Prashar, who meditated here before 13th century. The temple of Rishi Prashar was built by Raja ban sen of Mandi.
The lake contains a floating island inside it.

It is believed that Sage Prashar meditated on the banks of this lake, hence it is named Prashar Lake. Bhima, one of the Pandava brothers, had created the lake, the story says. After the Kurukshetra / Mahabharat war, the Pandavas were returning with Lord Kamrunag. When they reached this place, Kamrunag loved the tranquil surroundings and decided to live here forever. So, Bheem (the strongest of the lot) rammed his elbow on one of the mountains and created a big dent in the land. This dent became Prashar Lake.

The World Press Freedom Day 2022 will be observed on 3rd May 2022 all over the world by the UN Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). It marks the commitment and respect to Press Freedom. It is a day of reflection among media professionals about issues of press freedom and professional ethics. On the recommendation of UNESCO's General Conference in 1991, it was proclaimed by UN General Assembly in 1993.

The moto behind the celebrations of WPFD is to defend the media from attacks on their independence and to pay tributes to journalists who have lost their lives in the exercise of their professionals. India has been ranked 142 among various countries and has been a subject of much discussion and debate amongst media persons and political parties,Government bureaucrats and also on social media.

Thus this day serves as occasion to inform citizens of the violation of Press Freedom.
