Being a wildlife and adventure enthusiast Huge Commercial Tours and Travels is associated with Nameri Eco Camp for the last 7 years, and is working for the upliftment and overall development of the Association.

Nameri Eco Camp (Nameri National Park, Assam)
THE 21-YEAR-OLD Nameri Eco Camp was formed under the aegis of A (B) ACA, Assam Bhorelli Angling and Conservation Association in the year 1993-94 by a scheme recommended by the Government of Assam, financed by the NEC and monitored by the Department of Forests Assam (Wildlife) to set up facilities for the promotion of Angling as an adventure Sport and Tourist attraction.

NOW THE 21-YEAR-OLD Nameri Eco Camp, one of the oldest nature resorts in India’s northeast, is a great vantage point to see the blues of the sky. Visitors come to Nameri mainly for the tigers, elephants and more than 420 species of birds, including the critically endangered white-winged wood duck.

Today the Nameri Eco Camp provides employment opportunities to Forest villagers as caterers, housekeepers, maintenance workers, rafting and bird watching guides etc. Forest village women folk have been given alternative skill development training to enhance their income generating capabilities and a retail outlet ‘Ketekee’ has been set up at the Nameri Eco Camp to sell their products.

Over the years, the Nameri Eco Camp has served as a facility to ornithologists, wildlife enthusiasts, researchers, officials, school and college students and nature loving domestic as well as foreign visitors from all over the world. Today it has demonstrated that sustainability experiences, and comfort can go hand in hand and was featured in the National Geographic Traveller (India) September 2014 issue as one of the Twenty-Two Eco-Sensitive retreats in India.

How to Get There:

Day 1: Travel to Nameri Eco Camp with Huge Car Rental service from Guwahati. Lunch at Nameri Eco Camp. Visit to Local Villages, Butterfly Park, Night Camp Fire, Cultural Programme, Dinner and Overnight at Eco Camp. (245 Kms from Guwahati)

Day 2:Morning Bird Watching/Trekking Inside National Park/River Rafting at Jia-Bhorelli River. Check out and leave for Guwahati by Huge Car Rental Service.
