Rohtang at 3,978 m means freezing winds, thin air, and a summit that will make you question every life choice — and then immediately feel proud of all of them.
After the pass: the descent into Lahaul Valley, where the green disappears and the cold desert begins. Welcome to Ladakh's gateway.

We're here. Manali in the morning hits different when you know what's ahead. 🏔️Today is about settling in — assembling bikes, route briefings, breathing the mountain air, and mentally preparing for what's coming.No big climbs today. Just presence.

**We came for the mountains. We stayed for each other. 🏔️❤️ Tour of Spiti Valley — DONE.**

Kunzum La. 4590m. Summit day. 👑
The highest point of the expedition.
Prayer flags snapping in the wind. Cold that cuts through every layer.
And a group of people who rode every single kilometer to get here. 🚴‍♂️🔥

Some cried. Some screamed. Some just stood in silence.
All of it was right. All of it was earned. 🙏

Then — Chandratal Lake.
The Moon Lake. 4300m. One of the most pristine lakes on earth. 🌙💙
No words. Just water, sky, and disbelief that this place is real.

And then Manali.
Warm food. Hot showers. And a celebration that felt like a family reunion. 🎉

**Mementos. Certificates. Memories that will never leave.** 🏅

300+ km. 9 days. Kunzum La at 4590m.
Landslide roads. Cliff edges. Thin air.
World's highest post office. Ancient monasteries. A bridge over nothing.

And a group of strangers who became a tribe. 🫂

1200m of climbing. A bridge over nothing. A monastery on a cliff. Day 6 didn't come to play. 😤🏔️

Kaza → Losar. 61 km. The hardest riding day of the expedition.
Thin air. Exposed terrain. No shortcuts. No mercy. 🔥
First — Ki Monastery.

Sitting on a hilltop like a crown above the Spiti Valley.
800 years old. Still standing. Still breathtaking. 🏯✨
We stopped, we stared, we wondered how humans built this up here.

Then we clipped back in and kept climbing. 🚴‍♂️
Then — Chicham Bridge.
The highest bridge in Asia. 😶‍🌫️

A thin strip of steel over a gorge so deep you can't see the bottom.
Standing on it with a bicycle felt like a scene from a film.
Except this was real. Very, very real. 😰🌉

The valley riding after Chicham was long, scenic, and relentless —
steady climbing, thin air doing its best to break you,
and the road to Losar feeling like it would never end.
But it did. 🙏

And Losar welcomed us the way the mountains always do —
quietly, coldly, and completely. ❤️🏔️
Tomorrow is summit day.

Kunzum La. 4590m. The crown of this entire expedition. 👑

**A fortress monastery on a cliff. A river confluence below. Day 4 was straight out of a movie. 🏯🎬**

Tabo → Kaza. 49 km. 700m of climbing.
Short on distance. Massive on everything else. 🔥

We rode through Spiti's high-altitude desert today —
no trees, no noise, no distractions.
Just brown mountains, blue sky, and the sound of your own breathing. 🌬️

And then — Dhankar.
Perched on a crumbling cliff like it was placed there by the gods.
A monastery AND a fortress. Ancient. Dramatic. Completely unreal. 😶‍🌫️🏔️

We stopped. We stared. We forgot we were tired. 😌

Then the Pin River met the Spiti River right in front of us —
two wild mountain rivers colliding in silence.
Some moments you just put the camera down. 📵

Kaza by late afternoon.
The capital of Spiti. Tiny, tough, and full of character. ❤️
Hot food. Warm beds. And legs that finally got to rest. 🙏

Day 5 is the exploration day —
Hikkim. Komic. Langza. The world's highest post office.
Tomorrow we go to places most people never reach. 📮👀

The road tried to stop us. It couldn't. Day 3 was SAVAGE. 🤘🏔️
Nako → Tabo. 71 km. Landslides. Cliff edges. India-Tibet border road.

And a 1000-year-old monastery waiting at the finish line. 🛕✨
This wasn't just cycling.
This was survival mode. 😤
The Malling Nallah stretch is no joke —
narrow paths hugging the cliff, fresh landslide zones, loose gravel under your wheels and a straight drop into the Spiti River below. 😰
No guardrails. No margin for error.
Just you, your bike, and the mountains deciding if you pass. 🏔️
And then — Tabo.
A monastery standing since 996 AD.
Older than most countries. Still standing. Still silent. Still sacred. 🙏
We walked in sweaty, dusty, and completely wrecked —
and somehow left feeling calm. That's Spiti doing its thing. 💫
Day 4 takes us deeper into the valley.
Kaza is next. The heart of Spiti. ❤️
