📍 DAY 9 | Leh → Khardung La → Leh | The Summit Ride
"5,359 metres. One of the world's highest motorable roads 🚴‍♂️🏔️" following city tour of Leh ending at Momento Ceremony

This wasn't the route. This was the reward.
Khardung La. 5,359 m. One of the highest motorable passes on the planet — and we summited it on support wheels.
80 km round trip. 1,900 m of climbing. Oxygen so thin it felt like riding through a dream.
And at the top? No words. Just the wind, the flags, and a feeling that will never leave you.

📍 DAY 8 | Rumtse → Leh
"The Indus Valley opens up. And in the distance — Leh. We made it. 🥹"

534 km. 5 high passes. And today — Leh.
The descent along the Indus River is everything you've been waiting for. Thiksey Monastery. Hemis. The colours of Ladakh welcoming you home.
When the city appears on the horizon, you don't cheer. You just breathe. Deeply. Slowly. Gratefully.

📏 Distance: 77 km | Mostly downhill

📍 DAY 7 | Debring → Rumtse via Tanglang La
"5,328 metres. The second-highest pass of the journey. The lungs have thoughts. 😤" No ride due to heavy snowfall

Tanglang La. One of the highest motorable passes in the world — and we climbed it on bicycles.
Every step feels like your lungs are working at half capacity. Every metre of ascent is a quiet personal victory. And then the descent to Rumtse — pure freedom.

📍 DAY 6 | Debring via Pang & More Plains
"45 km of plateau. No trees. No shelter. Just you, the wind, and the highest campsite of the expedition. 🌬️"

Welcome to More Plains — where the earth forgets to end.
This is the most surreal cycling experience of the entire expedition. A 45 km plateau at over 4,500 m, where the wind is your only company and the sky feels infinite.
No shelter. No mercy. Pure mountains.
📍 Whisky Nala → Debring (via Pang & More Plains)

📏 Distance: 81 km

🏔️ End Elevation: 4,720 m — HIGHEST campsite

🌬️ More Plains: ~45 km of flat high-altitude plateau

📍 DAY 5 | Sarchu → Whisky Nala via Gata Loops, Nakeela & Lachung La
"21 loops. 2 passes. Zero oxygen. 100% worth it. 🔄"

They call this the toughest day. They're not wrong.
The 21 Gata Loops will make you count every single one. Then Nakeela at 4,739 m. Then Lachung La at 4,670 m. Then Whisky Nala — where you finally exhale.
This day breaks you open and builds you back stronger.

📍 DAY 4 | Patseo → Sarchu via Baralacha La
"4,890 metres. Glacial winds. And the most beautiful nothing you've ever seen. 🗻"

Baralacha La. The name alone should scare you a little.
This is where Lahaul ends and Ladakh truly begins — at 4,890 m, with glacial streams on both sides and winds that remind you you're very, very small.
Every pedal stroke up there is a negotiation. With the mountain. With your lungs. With yourself.

⛰️ Highest Point: Baralacha La – 4,890 m

📍 DAY 2 | Marhi → Keylong via Rohtang Pass
"Rohtang Pass at dawn. Cold hands. Big smiles. Biggest climb yet. ❄️"

The first major pass of the expedition — and she did not disappoint. ❄️
Rohtang at 3,978 m means freezing winds, thin air, and a summit that will make you question every life choice — and then immediately feel proud of all of them.
After the pass: the descent into Lahaul Valley, where the green disappears and the cold desert begins. Welcome to Ladakh's gateway.
