Current Situation of Glass Industry in Firozabad:

The current situation of workers in Firozabad's glass industry is quite challenging due to several factors, primarily revolving around the harsh working conditions and economic difficulties.

Harsh Working Conditions:

Extreme Heat: The workers in the glass factories are exposed to extremely high temperatures. Inside these small-scale units, temperatures can exceed 50 degrees Celsius, especially during peak summer months. Health Issues: The prolonged exposure to high temperatures has resulted in chronic health problems for many workers, including respiratory issues, cardiovascular diseases, and severe dehydration. The situation is particularly dire for older workers and those with pre-existing health conditions​

Lack of Proper Facilities: Most factories lack proper ventilation and cooling systems. Although some factory owners are trying to implement basic cooling solutions and improve hydration facilities, these measures are often inadequate. Workers frequently suffer from heat-related ailments, and many have been hospitalised due to dehydration​.
The glass industry in Firozabad, particularly known for its glass bangles, is currently facing significant challenges. Rising temperatures due to climate change are exacerbating the already harsh working conditions in the glass factories. These small-scale units often lack proper ventilation and cooling systems, leading to temperatures soaring above 50 degrees Celsius inside the workshops. Major Projects in Firozabad:

L&T wins contract for implementation of water supply scheme at villages of Balia and Firozabad districts in 2023.

In Firozabad, there is a significant infrastructure project underway as part of a broader initiative by the Uttar Pradesh government. Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has been contracted to implement a water supply scheme in the Hanumanganj multi-group villages of the Firozabad and Ballia districts. This project, part of the Jal Jeevan Mission, aims to provide clean drinking water to rural households. It includes the construction of a water treatment plant, extensive pipelines, reservoirs, and pump houses. आसफाबाद नाले के सफाई के संबंध में आज सुबह 10 बजे के बाद से नगर निगम के द्वारा सफाई अभियान चलाया जा रहा है। जबकि इस समय छोटे छोटे रेहड़ी व ठेले वाले अपनी दुकानदारी हेतु (सब्जी वाले, नाश्ते वाले, जूस वाले एवं अन्य लोग ) खड़े रहते है। इस सफाई से उनकी सुबह की दुकानदारी में अवरोध उत्पन्न हो रहा है।
जबकि नगर निगम के कुछ लोगों द्वारा पोस्ट डाला जाता है फीरोजाबाद के बहुत से इलाको में रात में नाली व नालों की ताली झाड़ सफाई की जाती है
और पानी से सड़क को धोया भी जाता है।जिससे लोगो को परेशानी ना हो।
तो फिर आसफाबाद के लोगो को परेशानी क्यों?
कई बार सफाई करने के बाद भी नाले की सफाई सुचारू रूप से नही हो पाती।
इसके लिए कड़े इंतजाम क्यों नही किए जाते। नाले में आए दिन कोई न कोई दुर्घटना होती रहती है।
