*SKM State Level Chalak Wing and Sarathi Welfare Board Condemn Lachung Zero Point Incident*

The SKM State Level Chalak Wing and the Sarathi Welfare Board strongly condemn the incident at Lachung Zero Point today, where our Chalak Guruji was physically assaulted by Indian Army personnel. The incident is being widely circulated on social media platforms.

Such incidents create fear in the minds of the public. Drivers of Sikkim are called _Sarathi_, meaning friend, who guide us to reach our destinations. The Indian Army is well known and deeply respected for its discipline and sacrifice.

Therefore, we have full confidence and trust in the law and order system. We urge the concerned civil authorities and Army officials to conduct a fair and immediate inquiry into the matter and ensure justice.

State Chalak Coordinator Shri Dichen Bhutia has already reached the spot and is reviewing the matter with SHO Shri Tilak Chettri and concerned officials.

We hope prompt and fair action will be taken to ensure justice and prevent such incidents in the future.

Sudan Gurung Likely to Return as Nepal Home Minister Today

Nepal, June 9 | Former Nepal Home Minister Sudan Gurung is expected to return to the Home Ministry today, according to multiple political sources. The development comes days after a government-appointed inquiry committee reportedly cleared Gurung of corruption allegations linked to his resignation in April this year.

Sources indicate that preparations are underway for his reappointment, although an official announcement from the government is still awaited. Gurung had stepped down from the post amid scrutiny over his financial disclosures and investment-related matters, maintaining that he resigned to allow a fair and transparent investigation.

The inquiry panel's findings are believed to have paved the way for his return, with political observers closely watching the government's next move. If reappointed, Gurung will once again take charge of Nepal's Home Ministry after a brief absence from office.
