⚠️ PUBLIC ADVISORY: Tourists Stranded in Lachen to Be Evacuated Tomorrow

Mangan District Administration has issued an important update regarding tourists currently stranded in Lachen.

Due to a breach in road formation near Tarum Chu Bridge, the Lachen route has been temporarily closed. In light of the prevailing weather conditions and safety risks, all tourists in Lachen are advised to stay put for tonight and avoid any movement.

Authorities have planned an evacuation operation starting tomorrow morning, subject to improvement in weather and successful snow clearance along the Dongkya La route.

A joint effort is underway involving the District Administration, Police, ITBP, BRO, and the Indian Army to ensure safe and swift evacuation via the route:
Lachen → Dongkya La → Lachung → Gangtok

Snow clearance work is being carried out on a war footing. However, the exact timing of evacuation will depend on weather conditions and road safety assessments.

General Advisory:
All individuals are urged to remain cautious, stay indoors as much as possible, and strictly follow instructions issued by local authorities. Safety remains the top priority during this period of adverse weather.

গ্যাংটক, 15 মার্চ: সিকিম সরকারের পর্যটন ও বেসামরিক বিমান পরিবহন বিভাগ, লাচেন অক্ষ বরাবর জনপ্রিয় উচ্চ-উচ্চতার গন্তব্য গুরুদোংমার হ্রদ পর্যন্ত পর্যটন পুনরায় চালু করার ঘোষণা দিয়ে একটি বিজ্ঞপ্তি জারি করেছে। পুনরায় খোলার পাশাপাশি, বিভাগটি উত্তর সিকিমে মসৃণ ট্র্যাফিক ব্যবস্থাপনা এবং দর্শনার্থীদের নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করার জন্য পারমিট, ভ্রমণের সময় এবং ভ্রমণ ভ্রমণপথ সম্পর্কিত কিছু নিয়ম চালু করেছে।

তাদংয়ের পর্যটন ভবন থেকে জারি করা বিজ্ঞপ্তি অনুসারে, লাচেন-লাচুং সেক্টরে ভ্রমণের জন্য পারমিট এখন কমপক্ষে একদিন আগে নিতে হবে। কর্তৃপক্ষ স্পষ্ট করে জানিয়েছে যে একই দিনে পারমিট জারি করা হবে না, এমনকি তৃতীয় মাইল পুলিশ চেক পোস্টেও।

টুং পুলিশ চেক পোস্ট অতিক্রমকারী পর্যটকদের ন্যূনতম তিন দিন এবং দুই রাতের বৈধতা সহ পারমিট জারি করা হবে, সর্বোচ্চ ছয় দিন এবং পাঁচ রাত পর্যন্ত। চড়াই-উতরাই উভয় দিকে ভ্রমণকারী যানবাহনকে বিকেল ৪:০০ টার আগে চেক পোস্ট অতিক্রম করতে হবে।

বিভাগটি পর্যটকদের তাদের পারমিটে উল্লেখিত স্থানগুলিতে ভ্রমণের উপরও নিষেধাজ্ঞা জারি করেছে। সিকিম পর্যটন বাণিজ্য নিবন্ধন আইন ২০২৪ এর অধীনে এই ধরনের স্থানে যেকোনো অননুমোদিত ভ্রমণের জন্য জরিমানা করা হবে।

এছাড়াও, ট্র্যাভেল এজেন্সি এবং ট্যুর অপারেটরদের নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে যে তারা নিশ্চিত করুন যে পর্যটকরা লাচুং-লাচেন অঞ্চলে ভ্রমণের সময় যানবাহনের আসন সংখ্যার মধ্যে ভ্রমণ করবেন এবং ন্যূনতম লাগেজ বহন করবেন। ট্যুরের জন্য মোতায়েন করা যানবাহনগুলিকে অবশ্যই ভালভাবে রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ করতে হবে এবং উচ্চ-উচ্চতার ভূখণ্ডে চলাচলের জন্য যান্ত্রিকভাবে উপযুক্ত হতে হবে।

বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে ভ্রমণ সংস্থাগুলির উপর পুরো ভ্রমণ জুড়ে অতিথি, চালক এবং গাইডদের নিরাপত্তা এবং সুস্থতা নিশ্চিত করার দায়িত্বও আরোপ করা হয়েছে। চিকিৎসা সংক্রান্ত জরুরি অবস্থার ক্ষেত্রে, যদি দ্রুত ফিরে আসার প্রয়োজন হয়, তাহলে টুং চেক পোস্টে রিপোর্ট করা বাধ্যতামূলক করা হয়েছে।

কর্তৃপক্ষ আরও জানিয়েছে যে হঠাৎ রাস্তা অবরোধের ক্ষেত্রে পারমিট বাতিল করা যেতে পারে, এবং নির্ধারিত অফিসিয়াল সোশ্যাল মিডিয়া প্ল্যাটফর্মের মাধ্যমে আপডেট জানানো হবে। ট্র্যাভেল এজেন্সি এবং ট্যুর অপারেটরদের কঠোরভাবে নিয়ম মেনে চলার নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে, অন্যথায় জরিমানা আরোপ করা হতে পারে।
