Many of Nagaland’s traditional games were never created merely for entertainment. They were practical lessons in strength, endurance, precision, teamwork, and survival skills that once shaped everyday life across the hills.

Today, these age-old contests continue to be showcased at the Hornbill Festival, not as relics of the past, but as living expressions of identity and cultural memory.

👉 Which of these traditional games would you want to try? Let us know in the comments, and save this post for your next visit to Hornbill Festival..

Home to the Mising community, this island in the Brahmaputra reveals a culture shaped by water, resilience, faith, and belonging. Stilted homes rise above floodplains, festivals mark the changing seasons, and everyday traditions continue to be carried forward through song, craft, food, and community.

Our journeys through Majuli go beyond the obvious, offering a chance to spend time with the people whose lives have long been intertwined with the river and its rhythms.

Join us on our 3-state Northeast India itinerary and discover a side of Majuli that guidebooks often miss.

When people think of Arunachal Pradesh, they often think of a handful of well-known destinations.

But the state holds so much more than that.

Its true richness lies in its diversity, of landscapes, wildlife, communities, and the many ways seasons shape life across the mountains. Autumn, for instance, feels different here. Forests begin to change colour, skies grow clearer, migratory birds arrive, and the hills settle into a quieter rhythm after the monsoon.

The journey we’ve curated is built around this side of Arunachal.

Not just the places, but the experiences that help you understand them. Time spent with local communities. Walks through landscapes that change with altitude and season. Conversations, food, wildlife, and stories that reveal the region beyond its viewpoints.

It takes you a little deeper, away from the usual tourist circuit and closer to the people and places that make Arunachal what it is.

📩 Join us this autumn to experience a different side of the state..

The season of showers is upon Meghalaya.

At this time of year, the landscape seems to soften into itself. Hills disappear behind curtains of mist, waterfalls gather force and urgency, and every shade of green begins to feel impossibly alive. The clouds hang so low that they no longer seem part of the sky, but part of the earth itself.

There are few places where rain feels less like bad weather and more like a way of seeing the world differently.

This is only a small glimpse of Meghalaya in the monsoon.

Don’t just witness it. Experience it with us this season.

The rains are back, and Meghalaya has taken on a whole new look.

The hills are greener, the air feels fresher, and the landscape seems to have come alive once again. These were scenes from just last week, a glimpse of how beautiful the state becomes during the monsoon.

There is something incredibly peaceful about Meghalaya this time of year. The hills seem to breathe differently after the rain, greener, quieter, and full of life.

We’re heading there soon, and we’d love for you to join us.

DM us to be part of the journey..
