Tasty Pani Puri recipe 😍🥰
Here's a basic recipe for Pani Puri:
# # # Ingredients
**For the Puris:**
- 1 cup semolina (rava)
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- A pinch of baking soda
- Water (as needed)
- Oil (for frying)
**For the Pani (Flavored Water):**
- 1 cup fresh coriander leaves
- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
- 1-2 green chilies (adjust to taste)
- 1-inch piece of ginger
- 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp black salt
- 1/2 tsp chaat masala
- 1 tbsp tamarind paste
- Salt to taste
- 2-3 cups cold water
**For the Stuffing:**
- 1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes
- 1/2 cup boiled chickpeas
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves (optional)

**1. Prepare the Puris:**
- Mix semolina, flour, and baking soda. Gradually add water to make a stiff dough. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Divide the dough into small balls and roll them into thin circles. Use a round cutter to cut into small puris.
- Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the puris until they puff up and turn golden brown. Drain and cool on paper towels.
**2. Prepare the Pani:**
- Blend coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chilies, and ginger to make a smooth paste.
- Mix the paste with cold water. Add roasted cumin powder, black salt, chaat masala, tamarind paste, and salt. Adjust seasoning to taste. Chill in the refrigerator.
**3. Prepare the Stuffing:**
- In a pan, heat a little oil and add cumin seeds. Add mashed potatoes, chickpeas, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Cook for a few minutes and let it cool.
**4. Assemble the Pani Puri:**
- Gently crack open the top of each puri.
- Stuff with the potato-chickpea mixture.
- Pour chilled pani over the stuffed puris.
Serve immediately for a delicious, crunchy snack!
