Saudi Arabia has made visiting simpler with a brand-new 'Package Visa'.

Launched this week, it bundles your tourist visa, round-trip flights, and hotel into a single booking through approved providers, so no separate embassy visit and far fewer steps between planning and arrival.

Here's what to know before you get excited: every package needs confirmed flights and a 4-star (or higher) licensed hotel, the minimum spend is SAR 4,000 per adult for two days (roughly ₹1,01,600), and importantly, once the visa is issued your package is locked in and can't be cancelled independently. The packages don't cover Makkah or Madinah activities, though the visa does let you travel anywhere in the Kingdom once you arrive.

It's a convenience-first option best for travellers who want a planned, premium, stress-free trip. If you prefer building your own itinerary, a standard eVisa with your own bookings may still suit you better.

IndiGo has a new, cheaper fare, but read this before you book it.

The airline just launched "IndiGo Lite", an entry-level economy fare for passengers travelling with cabin baggage only. You get a lower price by giving up your free check-in bag, with the option to add baggage, seats, and meals separately. It's bookable now for travel from 15 July, across all domestic and international non-stop routes, and you still earn your BluChip points.

Here's the honest part most coverage leaves out: the saving is small, around ₹158 per person. That makes IndiGo Lite a genuinely good deal if you truly travel light and never check a bag. But if there's any chance you'll need to check luggage, adding it later usually costs more than the little you saved, so a regular fare with a bag included works out cheaper.

The simple rule: pick Lite for quick, light, cabin-only trips. Skip it for family travel, longer stays, or shopping trips.

Delhi-NCR's newest airport is growing at real speed.

Just two weeks after opening, Noida International Airport at Jewar is adding direct flights to six more cities from July: Bhopal, Dehradun, Dharamshala, Jodhpur, Bareilly, and Pantnagar, with Jaipur, Kishangarh, and Chandigarh following close behind. That takes its network to 16 destinations and pushes daily flights from an initial 12 toward around 48.

For anyone in Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, or the Agra-Mathura-Aligarh belt, Jewar is quickly becoming a genuine, faster alternative to the long haul across town to IGI, thanks to the signal-free Yamuna Expressway.

A few things worth knowing before you book: IndiGo and Akasa Air are the airlines flying so far, the airport's development fee is higher than IGI's so it pays to compare both, and there is no metro link yet. International flights are targeted for later in 2026, with Dubai, Singapore, and Zurich among the names being discussed.

📍 Air India just announced a major schedule shake-up for summer 2026.

Between June and August, seven international routes are being suspended outright — Delhi-Chicago, Delhi-Newark, Mumbai-JFK, Delhi-Shanghai, Chennai-Singapore, Mumbai-Dhaka and Delhi-Male — and more than twenty other routes will see significant frequency cuts.

Why? Record-high jet fuel prices, the Pakistan airspace closure that's still in place, and a fiscal year that ended with the airline reporting a ₹22,000+ crore loss.

What this means for you:
✓ If you're booked, check your PNR before assuming nothing's changed
✓ If you're still booking, Mumbai-Newark and Delhi-JFK are the strongest US options on Air India
✓ Fares on Gulf carrier alternatives (Emirates, Qatar, Etihad) are already up 20–40%
✓ Book earlier than you usually would for July/August
