The Gurdaspur city situated on Amritsar – Pathankot National Highway Road, 36 Kms from Pathankot and 32 kms from Batala is being the district headquarter. The Gurdaspur Improvement Trust, Gurdaspur was established by the Government of Punjab in the year of 19l4 under the Punjab Town Improvement Act, 1922.
