Ananda Season 2, Episode 5 🌿
Some homes are built with concrete.
Some are rebuilt with memory, patience, and soul.
When Sandesh Prabhu came across this 100-year-old Portuguese villa, he didn’t see a property waiting to be modernised. He saw a story waiting to be preserved.
Every corner of Turiya reflects that intention.
Instead of replacing the old, he restored it.
Instead of clearing nature away, he allowed it to become part of the experience itself. Trees weren’t cut down. They continue to live through the spaces, growing beside walls and becoming part of the rooms people now stay in.
Walking through Turiya feels less like checking into a stay and more like stepping into another era. An era of old-world charm, handcrafted details, slow living, and forgotten nostalgia.
The name “Turiya” comes from the fourth stage of consciousness. A state of deep awareness and peace. And somehow, that feeling quietly exists throughout the villa.
In the restored artifacts.
In the silence of the corridors.
In the light that enters through old windows.
And in the rooms named after nakshatras, each carrying its own identity and energy.
Turiya isn’t loud luxury.
It’s a feeling.
A space where time slows down enough for you to remember something you thought was long gone.
More than a restored villa, this is Sandesh Prabhu’s way of keeping history alive — while allowing others to experience it, feel it, and become part of it. 🌿
