The last day was a timed home run back into Indian territory leaving Bhutan, post immigration, hot Bhutanese meal and ofcourse some shopping.

The Ducatisti’s were welcomed , all enjoyed getting off the gear and immersed into the luxurious resort. Over First Flush Teas / ‘Chai Pe Charcha’ unwinding and then loading the steeds back for the return leg.

Arriving at Thimphu the captial city, with red carpet welcome for the Ducatisti’s.

Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan, blends traditional culture with modern comforts, set in a picturesque valley where ancient dzongs and monasteries coexist with vibrant neighborhoods. With stunning Himalayan scenery, lively local markets ( 1st copies seem better than actual brands ) and landmarks - An early morning visit to the giant Buddha Dordenma, Drive to the view point - the Royal Assembly Halls, roads without a single traffic light interrupting the city’s tranquil flow

The rest or the day was spent shopping around. With lazy lunch at the Brusnikha cafe, with some one of the most amazingly prepared organic meals from locally sourced ingredients.

The evening was spent with fellow riders of the Bhutan Dragon Motorcycle Club.

Kicking off Ducati’s India’s first over landing Trip - Happiest Dream Tour of Bhutan.

Flagging Off from Siliguri, over the coronation bridge over river Tiesta, with tea estates on either side, reaching Jaigaon into the border town of Phuentsholing.

Immigration followed by formalities for the steeds, the Ducatisti’s walked around the town tasting Bhutanese cuisine.

On Day 2 to Paro, over the Chele La ( Pass ) at 11,500 feet. An absolute amazing tarmac for these bikes, Bhutanese roads are delight to be on.

Grabbing hot snacks at Haa, with rain bouncing on the tin roof, ending the day at Paro.
