1. Badrinath:

- Deity: Lord Vishnu
- Significance: Located in the Himalayas, this temple is one of the holiest sites for Vaishnavites. Adi Shankaracharya enshrined a black stone idol of Lord Badrinath here.
2. Dwarka:
- Location: Gujarat (Western India)
- Deity: Lord Krishna
- Significance: Known as the kingdom of Lord Krishna, the Dwarkadhish Temple is a major pilgrimage site. It is one of the Sapta Puri (seven sacred cities).
3. Puri:
- Location: Odisha (Eastern India)
- Deity: Lord Jagannath
- Significance: The Jagannath Temple is famous for its annual Rath Yatra, drawing millions of devotees. The temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath, a form of Lord Vishnu.
4. Rameswaram:
- Location: Tamil Nadu (Southern India)
- Deity: Lord Shiva
- Significance: Situated on Pamban Island, the Ramanathaswamy Temple is one of the holiest sites for Shaivites, renowned for its long corridors and sculptured pillars.
Pilgrimage to these Char Dham sites is considered spiritually purifying and auspicious, symbolizing a devotee's journey towards liberation (moksha).
