You’ll learn, as you get older, that rules are made to be broken. Be bold enough to live life on your terms, and never, ever apologize for it. Go against the grain, refuse to conform, take the road less traveled instead of the well-beaten path. Laugh in the face of adversity, and leapbefore you look. Dance as though EVERYBODY is watching. March to the beat of your own drummer. And stubbornly refuse to fit in.

My first solo ride.

Being a person who loves to travel is really hard to keep u at home... So one day I'm all alone at home and started my night with a movie... I was done by 2 but then decided to watch another one... It was around 4:30 when a plan struck in my mind that lets have a road trip... And by 5 I hit the road... Starting from my residence in Gurgaon... The initial plan was to do a very short ride for 50-60kms one way till manesar but the awesome weather changed my mind and with a little change in plan I decided to do 150 kms till Kothputli, Rajasthan... NH-8 is just superb... I was going with the speed of 80-90km/hr...

Roads are really good and since it was early morning so there was less traffic and I was enjoying its every bit... After riding for 3 hours approx I reached Kothputli... Have a light breakfast over there and have some rest... Again the devil inside me speak up & there was a change in plan... I choose to go 100 kms ahead for jaipur... I was little scared because my bike service was due but still I continue... And within other 2 hours I reach jaipur... The roads in jaipur, oooh boy... Its a mix of good roads with curves... Riding on those roads was really fun... At last I made it... Standing in front of Jal Mahal after 5 years... I feel so proud of myself bcoz that was my first solo ride... I was so excited about that I really don't want to stop at that moment... So with a Chotu sa break I continue my journey towards home... After doing 15 kms there was some issue with my bike... Smoke came out of my engine section... I was kind of worried & on the other hand still little excited bcoz that was a different feeling for me... I was having my first breakdown in 5-6 years of my riding... I remember there was a guy & I asked him for the mechanic in the near by area... I don't knw in which language he responded but I don't get a word what he said... After standing like a Paplu for 5 mins I again asked someone else & he told me that there's a mechanic just half a kilometre away... Now just imagine you are standing in midway and you have to pull your bike for like half a kilometre... Time was around 12 in the afternoon... That too in Rajasthan in the month of june... Hindi mai kehte hai na fatt ke haath mai aa gyi thi... After reaching there I got to knw that there was a short circuit in spark plug... Problem solved, not yet... As I knw that service for my bike is due, I told him to check the engine oil level & it was really low... Without having a second thought I hand over my bike to him for a service... It took another 2 hours.., and by the time the service is going on I took some good rest...

By the time all the service thing happened I was in full mood to hit the road... By that time the temperature was really high... It was really difficult to ride with Sooraj Mama on your head... After riding for 2 hours I reached kothputli... Again I stopped at the same hotel and have 2 glasses of chilled lassi so that my body don't get dehydrated... And after that have my lunch... After having some rest for half an hour I again continue my ride... By that time my energy level were down & I want to reach my home as quickly as possible... I was awake for last 26 hours... But still I was enjoying... And the moment I enter Manesar I just landed in a pot hole and guess what, rear tyre got punctured...

After getting my rear tyre fixed, I again continue my ride... But this time I was riding a little slow bcoz I don't want any more problem... After riding for another 2 hours I reach my home... The moment I get off my bike, that feeling can't be expressed in words... But there was a smile on my face that I did it... I did my first solo ride successfully...

Now the things I learn from this ride...
1) trips those are unplanned are really fun but that doesn't mean that you will plan nothing. Little planning is always necessary...
2) get your bike serviced regularly.
3) liquid consumption should be sufficient so that your body don't get dehydrated.
4) one should have a proper sleep. I don't face any problem but still your body need rest...

And with that its time to bid good bye... Good night guys. Ride safe
